Billabong – Australian Pub — Restaurant in Vienna

Once upon a time, in this medieval tavern, my beloved lady found herself in a most unfortunate predicament. A glass, as delicate as a princess's tiara and as valuable as a dragon's hoard, decided to shatter in her hand, showering her in fine wine as if it were the kingdom's worst-kept secret.

But alas, the serving wench, who seemed more interested in practicing her 'thousand-yard stare' than in any heroic deeds of customer service, paid no heed to our damsel in her grape-stained distress.

Oh, how I longed for a time when servers were knights in shining aprons, ready to rescue a damsel in her wine-soaked distress! Alas, it seems we were stuck in a realm where shattered glass was just another chapter in the never-ending saga of tavern mishaps.

Long story short, would not recommend. xoxo...

We were looking for a sports bar to watch an NFL Playoff game on a Saturday and this bar did not disappoint. We were walking around to bars several hours before the game and finally stumbled into this gem. The bartender told us what TV he could play the game on and reserved a couple bar stools for us. We left to take a nap and returned at game time (1030pm), our game was already on the TV and our barstools were available for us with a reservation tag. I can't speak to the food, as I only ordered fries, but even the fries came with a second basket of condiments. The bartender was very knowledgeable of the beers he was serving and had GREAT recommendations to suite each of our tastes... Keep in mind this was all on a BUSY...

We ended up here because my fiance thought he read "Austrian Pub", but we stayed because it sounded good. 😅 The waiters/waitresses all speak English, as expected. It was interesting to be in another country and see some customers have to struggle to order. I'm unsure if the employees know any other languages though!

It turned out to be very tasty! I ordered the pulled pork, which the waitress told me didn't come with BBQ sauce. I paid an extra 1€ for a cup of BBQ and it was on there when I got it just like the menu listed!! My fiance got the farmer burger and he liked it. For drinks, we had the snake bite and they...
