AVOID - bad experience with the waitress!!!
Yesterday afternoon I dined with my mother at this restaurant, which was an activity we were looking forward to during our trip, but we didn't expect that the waitress xxx from your restaurant completely ruined our experience.
We have booked a table. From the moment we walked in, she ignored my mother and me. It took us nearly half an hour after we sat down to wait for her to take our order, even after many guests who came later than us had already been served.
Finally she came took our order, she didn’t explain the menu like she did to the rest of other tables. Instead she just asked what do you want. I told her we have been waiting for so long, she just said you can see we are busy.
When it came time to settle the bill, I waved several times to get her attention, but it felt like she was preoccupied and didn't notice. I eventually went up to her to ask about paying, and then it took her quite some time to clear the tableware before she could assist me.
What made this experience even more unbearable was the lingering feeling that her treatment towards us was rooted in something far more insidious—an unspoken bias based on the color of my skin. It twisted the joy of our outing into a bitter aftertaste that I won’t soon forget.
This is not just about poor service; it's about respect, dignity, and the fundamental right to be treated as a valued guest. I implore you to address this issue, as your waitress, xxx, owes me an apology for the discomfort and pain that marred what should have been a cherished memory...
Read morePastries were good, but nothing to shout about. Pricey as well. It would have been an average cafe visit if it wasn't for the young lady manning the ovens when we visited on 19/07/25. We were told by staff to enter into the dining area to take a seat but was stopped by this particular young lady. She rather curtly asked us "How may I help you?" without much of a smile. We were thrown off as we were simply just walking to the empty 2 seater table infront of us. Not too sure what her intention was haha. When we told her that her colleague had informed us to take a seat, she begrudgingly turned back to the ovens without so much of even acknowledging what we say. We aren't asking for a warm welcome, but just some basic courtesy would have been great. Not sure if it had to do with us being 2 young asian ladies :') Take what you may from this :) Also waited a good 10 minutes for the bill after informing the staff. Had to remind the staff when we saw him closing the bill for other tables after us, but somehow we were told that we had to wait for another colleague of his. Shame that an establishment with decent food could not treat all individuals equally, it...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Offerl Bakery, and it was nothing short of a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness and outstanding service from the staff, which set the tone for a truly enjoyable visit.
The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, with beautifully curated décor that created a soothing and welcoming vibe. Even the details—like the spotless and well-maintained washrooms—added to the overall comfort.
Now, onto the food! I ordered the pastrami sandwich, which was packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients and had a rich, satisfying flavor. While the price was neither cheap nor overly expensive, it was absolutely worth it for the taste and freshness. Alongside my meal, I had a cappuccino and a *sweet cheese tophengolasche, both of which were perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and incredibly delicious.
If you’re looking for a bakery that delivers great taste, a cozy atmosphere, and warm service, Offerl Bakery is absolutely...
