My experience at this gelato shop left much to be desired, as it fell below my expectations in terms of both the quality of the gelato and the level of service provided. What particularly struck me was the owner's disrespectful and unprofessional attitude, which was evident in their responses to customer reviews. It is disheartening to encounter such a lack of care and consideration for customers.

When assessing the gelato itself, I found it to be lacking in flavor and overall quality. The taste did not live up to the standards set by other exceptional gelato establishments, such as Gelateria La Romana and Paolo Bortolotti. These renowned gelato shops have consistently impressed me with their wide range of delectable flavors and impeccable texture, making them clear examples of superior gelato craftsmanship.

Furthermore, the owner's choice of words and belligerent demeanor served as a direct reflection of the subpar experience at this Eissalon. The use of profanity and rude behavior not only creates a hostile environment but also reveals a fundamental disregard for customers. It is disappointing to witness an individual who does not understand the value of providing excellent service and creating a positive customer experience.

In conclusion, I would advise seeking out alternative gelato establishments that prioritize both exceptional flavors and top-notch service. Gelateria La Romana and Paolo Bortolotti are just two examples of establishments that consistently deliver on both fronts. It is unfortunate that this gelato shop fails to meet the standards set by its competitors, with its underwhelming gelato flavors and poor customer service.

RESPONDING TO THE OWNER:

(if you don't speak Italian, people reading my review,...

Wanted to write a review about their poor and rude service, but then looked at how they answer the negative feedback in the reviews section and realized this place is run by un professional children🤣🤣

instead of apologizing or accepting bad comments just as they accept good ones, they get defensive and they attack and curse customers. Well done 👏🏼 and good luck with your business 👋🏼

Reply to the shop below: THE SHAME IS ON YOU, educate yourself how to talk to customers before you open a business that deals directly to customers instead of insulting them. You call me a tourist as if being a tourist is a bad thing. Whole countries’ economies are based on tourism, like Italy for example. I traveled the world and always been treated nicely and with respect just as I respect the places I travel to. This is the first time in my whole life I come across someone like you.

You’re annoyed that there’s no photo but you know what I say are facts and that’s what matters to others reading the review.

You keep mentioning my partner, the lady with 2 children that your waitress kicked out because the kids sat with their cones that they paid for at the counter, before seeing your policy of strictly no cones at the table, and when my partner explained to the waitress that she will order more things at the table she refused to listen and asked her to leave with my kids, and when my partner reached out to you as a manager to tell you this is not ok you insulted her and grabbed her, and then you dare to talk about our characters?

You think you’re the only shop with this policy? All ice cream shops have this policy and we just came from Florence, Rome and Verona and when you tell them I’m ordering at the table as well they say no problem then specially if you have kids. there are manners to doing this, and you showed your manners.

You can continue to add to your reply as it only shows reviewers who’s the character here. We are leaving Vienna with one bad memory which is...

exceptionally rude and poorly behaving business!!!! Unfortunately google makes no minus stars. We went to this place (and we were 4), my friends wanted to order some cakes and coffee, and I & another friend wanted to get an ice cream on cone. First of all, I didnt see the sticker (lol funny, still) that saying 'no ice cream on cone if you are sitting', if I saw it before, I wouldnt choose this poor place firstly!! was looking at ice creams in the shelf, and owner or waiter whoever, asked rudely if I am sitting or getting it to go, and my friends were already seated, so not to go, obviously. And he rudely added I can look from the menu, and I said I prefer to look from here thanks 😊😊, so when I sit, I saw this funny sticker hahahah you guys are funny really, so this another rude lady waiter came and asked what we are getting, and I asked if i can get 2 scoopes of ice cream on cone (by the way you cant get on paper cup as well) so basically you can order above 8 euros ice cream, i mean I want only 2 scoops which is enough for me. And she amswered and behave super rudely, so i said so nothing for me then thanx. So of course or friends didn't want to get any cakes and coffees from this exceptionally rude and poorly misbehaving business to their potential customers. I know reviews are pretty much affecting customers who look at google, especially foreigner ones :) . For your info, there are many internationals in wien :) hope you wont gain any of them as customers, who are reading this review now. People, you can thank...

Very good gelato, not really on par with the hand-made ice cream you can get in Italy, but still one of the best in Vienna. What we particularly liked about this place was the fact that the owners allow you to sit down at a table even if you ordered an 'on the go' cup, provided there's still place and it's not a crowded day. They let you feel welcome and don't push you out. You should also definitely sit down at a table and grab a bite or try one of their ice cream specialties and a perfect espresso, as it's located on a rather quiet street, a couple of minutes from the Stadtpark. It quickly became one of our favorite places to go in Vienna.

It is a fantastic place. The waitress was very kind, and the other staff too. The only problem was to choose from the menu, there were too many amazing ice-cream creations. The raspberry ice-cream was amazing and the coffe is good too. The service was extremely fast. The terrace is truly moody although can be a little crowded.

One of the few places where there was outdoor seating in a beautiful day in March. We just had Tea and some cake, which was quite nice. The apfelstrudel was warm, but unfortunately not crispy (5.20 euro). Prices are moderate for Viennese standards.
