My husband Christof and I stumbled upon Framburi Fries for a casual dinner, and what a delightful experience it turned out to be! Tucked away on Rotenturmstraße, this charming spot offers more than just great food – it serves up genuine hospitality.

From the first bite, it was clear: the food here is very well-prepared. Everything we ordered was bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served with a smile. The atmosphere is relaxed yet full of character – the perfect setting for an easy casual evening out.

But what truly made our visit special was Manfred – or “Mani” – who took incredible care of us. Warm, attentive, and effortlessly charming, he elevated the whole experience. To top it all off, he surprised us with an Austrian chocolate cookie that was delicious. If you're in Vienna and looking for a cozy, flavorful dining – Framburi Fries is a must-try.

Also ich war mit meinem Freund bei Framburi. Wir hatten schon eher hohe Erwartungen, vor allem da der Preis schon ziemlich deftig ist.

Ich habe mir die Backfisch fries bestellt und einen coleslaw dazu. Die Fries selbst waren nur ok wenn man bedenkt dass das ganze Lokal nur Fries macht. Leider nicht ganz crispy und auch nicht wirklich gesalzen. Insgesamt hatte ich ca 3 gewürzte Fries. Zu dem Fisch möchte ich mich eigentlich nicht äußern… weder gesalzen, noch anders gewürzt. Crispy war er aber geschmacklich gibt es nichts zu sagen da es nichts zu schmecken gab. Nicht einmal die Zitrone hat es besser gemacht. Für 13,50 eigentlich schon fies. Sehr schade, denn ich hatte davor überlegt mir die cheese fries zu holen. Die hätten wahrscheinlich weniger enttäuscht. Der colslaw war solide: crunchy und juicy. Die sauce zu den Fries war aber gut (senf,ei).

Nun zu den Crispy chicken buffalo style fries von meinem Freund. Er war begeistert von der Panade vom Chicken. Es hat nach Buffalo Chicken geschmeckt. Spicy und es kam ihm so vor als wäre der blue cheese dip in der Panade inkludiert. Die fries waren leider nicht anders als meine, wobei die sauce vom Chicken auf die Pommes darunter Geschmack abgegeben haben. Seine sauce war eine art Pfeffer Tartar sauce die war auch sehr gut. Ketchup und Mayo konnte man sich selbst nehmen. Sehr empfehlenswert, beide waren sehr gut. Trüffelmayo haben wir auch probiert. Die Mayo base war gut aber nach Trüffel hats leider nicht geschmeckt. Insgesamt war es leider zu teuer für unseren Geschmack. Satt sind wir, da Pommes ja doch füllen. Tatsächlich war es aber enttäuschend und ziemlich traurig. Es ist ein typisches Insta Lokal, für Fotos super für den rest aber nicht. Wir sind mit Vorfreude gekommen und leider mit Verärgerung gegangen. Für 33€ hätten wir woanders sicher glücklicher werden können. Ich hoffe das Framburi sich verbessert, da das Konzept an sich ja ganz nett ist. Aber ich würde es stand jetzt definitiv nicht weiter empfehlen.

Happy to have stumbled about this small joint. Unaware of it having opened already 6 months ago, I finally got a chance to check it out and boy did it end up well. First off - amazing staff, nice, forthcoming and helpful. Very happy with your costumer service. Ordering is as you please, either old-school at the counter, or self-service terminal. As the name implies, everything is centered around their delicious fries. You can pair it with your choice of meat/garnish and have yourself either house ketchup or mayo, or both ;) There is ample seating, just head inside.

Hot tip - swing around for Happy Hour, during the week and enjoy for a great price!
