My husband and I didn’t have a reservation, but found a table at around 4pm on a Friday. We sat down in the basement area, which had amazing atmosphere! We ordered goulash soup, typical Viennese sausage with horseradish and mustard, Wiener schnitzel, steak with onions and kaiserschmarrn for dessert. The goulash soup had a lot of vegetables and meat inside and wasn’t spiced and salted as much, which for me made it easier to enjoy. The sausage was interesting, as it was more finely grinded than I know. Big plus for fresh horseradish! The schnitzel was a bit thicker than I thought it’d be, but was very good, especially with lemon and the side I ordered - potato salad. The steak was amazing - so juicy! The onions were deep fried and pretty salty. The dish came with baked potatoes. The dessert - kaiserschmarrn, was huge but delicious. It was pretty much a bargain for 8 euros, compared to the prices around and it was delicious! Quite a hearty meal, I could barely finish it. Furthermore, the service was great, the waitress lady was lovely and helped me to choose a local beer. There were local folks playing a strange card game and I had a chat about the demonstration which was happening earlier that day. Moreover, I found the decoration to be friendly, cosy and welcoming rather than posh. It is a great stop before or after visiting the Rathaus and the museums which are nerby. I definitely...
