I have absolutely no idea why this restaurant is so hyped, because what I experienced today was just embarrassing. We started with some Nigiri, Maki and different Rolls which tasted not bad at all - there was one Maki where the avocado already turned completely brown/greyish but everything else looked fresh. Then we went on with the starters, which were overall okay, but not very impressive. Don’t order the mini spring rolls tho, they are not homemade and taste like in any other chinese take-away. We really should’ve stopped at that point because the main dishes were just a joke. The Chicken Sweet and Sour was just three very small chicken pieces and a bit of sauce - no onions as mentioned on the menu. The six mini beef-steaks also looked very dreadful with in a sea of teriyaki sauce. The chili chicken also came without the peppers, mentioned in the menu, also the sauce was so tasteless that my girlfriend who hates hot food mistook the dish for her Gongbao Chicken. The beef in pepper sauce was also very bland. The only good thing was, that the beef tasted good and was not overcooked. I attached pictures of the beef steaks, beef with pepper sauce and the chicken sweet and sour so you can see for yourselves what the dishes looked like. Those plates were not touched by us, they were served exactly like that. Even though the restaurant was full, you just can’t serve something like that to your customers. Will definitely not visit again. I can only recommend this restaurant if you intend to eat only Sushi, Nigiri, Maki or rolls, besides that the food was not good and you get better food at a way lower price in...
Read moreThis is the first district location of this popular sushi/ Asian all you can eat but served to order restaurant. I've been to the one on Mariahilfer Straße often so I will compare it to that one too. First of all...reserve a table, especially for "common" hours like lunch and dinner, as well as weekends. Don't expect comfort! The tables for two are ridiculously small and close to each other. The food: sushi is of consistent quality, for Austria and for all you can eat more than passable quality, the unagi ( grilled eel) is actually really delicious. They offer more maki versions than you can eat, some better than others. The rest of the warm food was taste wise consistent with what I expected but the meat was significantly better cooked than in the 7th district location. Big plus, this location has outdoor seating, big minus, outdoors doesn't have the...
Read moreBefore pointing out the pros and cons for this restaurant, I have to say that I eat a lot (every 2 weeks) sushi in the Netherlands (to which I compare the quality to).
Pros: Personnel was quick after placing an order on the tablet. The price is great for an all you can eat restaurant. Even though the menu is German, there are pictures for all of the food.
Cons: The couches in the restaurant have a small sitting area and are very tight. The quality of the food isn't on par, compared to the 5 sushi restaurants I usually eat. Some sushi (mostly nigiri) had a little to sweet taste to the rice, which isn't to dislike but takes away the whole experience of the sushi. The beef we ordered, even though they were baked medium, were too chewy/hard.
Overall did the cons outweigh the pros of the restaurant for me and gets it a...
