Hausbar — Restaurant in Vienna

I, alongwith my wife, visited Hausbar during our honeymoon to Europe. We are from India. We wanted a nice Michelin Star restaurant experience in Europe.

My wife is is comfortable with non-vegetarian food but I am vegetarian (no eggs also). They took our meal preferences long before we visited, as we had made request for reservation for us. The reason I have identified our individual preferences is to highlight the extent of accommodation which Hausbar was willing to make for us (i.e. our dietary preferences). In fact, they even made accommodation for me as I identified an allergy at the last minute.

Hausbar gave us 11 - 12 items to eat, all of which were great. The food was designed to perfection. We were served also very well, as there are limited tables and one server was not serving more than 2 - 3 tables which were close to each other.

Also, there was not time limit for us and we enjoyed all the items / drinks leisurely. As such, our experience was cherishing and Hausbar was everything...

This place is excellent from start to finish. It's extremely small which adds to the charm of the restaurant. We were lucky enough to try the tasting menu with cocktail pairing. It was exceptional the food is vegan/vegetarian that was a bit of a surprise and we picked the meat option. That only means the main course was Duck. The flavour they are able to achieve are incredible you wouldn't need meat and I wish I could have tried the vegetarian Mains as well. Every cocktail is perfectly set with corse all splendidly put together. The staff are phenomenal super friendly and knowledgeable with a passion for what they do. Just when you think it couldn't get better they have a free house cocktail in the wash room. End to end this place is a must visit. We loved every single bite and sip of the 7 course tasting with cocktail pairing. As we finished each round we thought it couldn’t get better, but did over and over with exquisite flavors that did not feel too forced. Our waitress was also a delight and an excellent host for the evening. Sitting outside, eating dishes that celebrate seasonal ingredients, sipping truly unique cocktails — doesn’t get better than that.

They were also incredibly accommodating with my allergy even though I failed to flag in advance which only added to their service rating.
