Honu Tiki Bowls — Restaurant in Vienna

The food was okay, fresh ingredients, however super bland, even having added a sauce and a mayo option the food had no real spice or flavor. The bowls are also very overpriced in my opinion, but that being said, the ladies working there where not stingy with the portions! A huge factor to the low star rating, is the seating situation! There are very few places to sit, and most of the people taking up the tables where done with their food and just sitting there talking (which is totally fine!) but it’s not fun to have to stand while you eat specially if the meal is not exactly cheap. If you have no problem with maybe not having a place to sit and are a fan of fresh veggies and don’t need too much ‘spice/flavor’ to your food (sounds sarcastic but it’s not meant to be) then I think you...

The quality is good, the major concern I have that I was ordering 3 times one and the same bowl with fixed recipe. 3 times the taste was dramatically different, 3 different cooks were combining the ingredients.

Would be good to work out technical cards of the dishes to be able to deliver constant results tasing and looking the same.

Gave another try.. taste and texture of raw salmon was awful, so the questions of freshness is now appearing..

Not sure that they break down the whole fresh fish directly in the shop, and not using frozen fillets treated with carbon monoxide. What we tried is not sushi grade...

Well, I found out poke bowls in Austria are just as good (if not even better) than in the U.S.! heart eyes

This was a perfect lunch stop while walking around Vienna and seeing the main drag. It was refreshing and light, yet filling and of course delicious.

The bowl size was also really nice, though I wish mine had a better ratio of rice to toppings & protein- there was so much rice I didn’t end up eating half of it even though I had most of the other ingredients.

I also found it cool you can buy a reusable tupperware bowl from here to bring back and they’ll fill it with another HONU bowl for a cheaper price...
