I saw this place on a historian's channel. This place is filled with the spirit of the working class. The atmosphere and vibes here feel more authentic than in trendy spots that just copy the same concept from one another. Here, everything is simple yet tasteful. It’s a small kiosk offering a few types of sausages and snacks to go with them. There’s also a wide selection of local beer in cans and bottles. We tried one of the local specialties—the cheese sausage. I heard from the historian who introduced me to this place that people call it "the little abscess." It was incredibly juicy and greasy. I highly recommend this spot if you want to experience delicious, simple pleasures.

Honestly, not much to shout about here. The hotdogs are decent, big portions, filling, and convenient if you’re nearby. But nothing mind-blowing. Is it nice? Sure. Worth making a trip for? Not really. It’s a takeaway-only spot with no seating, so you just stand at the side to eat. The vibe is pretty standard, nothing remarkable. The staff came across as a little grumpy and impatient when explaining the different flavors in English, though I can’t really blame them with the constant flow of tourists, it’s just part of the experience. Overall, it’s fine for a quick bite if you happen to be passing by, but definitely not a must-try destination.

Great hotdogs (we got the classic cheese in hot dog bread) as per other reviews here. Everyone eating around us seemed to be Austrian/German and we were the only tourist - so definitely felt like it isn’t a quick foreigner popular hotspot in the middle of the town centre. Quick note - nothing is in English so do a bit of research unless you want to look dumbfounded in the cold (not a big deal if you don’t stand in people’s way) for non German readers. Also they said that they take card but we were asked to pay in cash (perhaps our order was €9,5 was the reason or maybe the machine was down) FYI.

After reading through the tons of positive reviews that brought me here I tried their food, and now I'm not quite sure I understand what it is that I'm not seeing? This was mediocre at best.

First of all the seller lady was spectacularly unenthusiastic, with her approach bordering on rude (I know it's basically a fast food cart, but still), who was by the way touching all the food with her bare hands without any gloves (au revoir, covid?).

The bun used for the bratwurst has probably been standing there for quite some time, was soggy and of low quality. The sausage seemed underfried and boring, with some standard mustard sprayed in there, not adding up to anything memorable at all, really.

For a fast food cart this is not bad, not good. It is definitely not worthy of the 4.5 rating, as it could be copy/pasted and replaced by any of the other wurst stands out there. Try Alles Wurscht instead a few streets further down the road, even from the brief interaction with them (they were just closing their cart as I approached them with an intention to eat there) they seemed three times nicer, with their selection also looking...

I scheduled a 3 day stop in Vienna, and this place was on my to-do list, realistically, because I managed to track down that this was the spot Anthony Bourdain got his "meat in tube form" fix at in Vienna. Yes, I am that kind of person. If Bourdain gives a place a stamp of approval, you better believe it's for a damn good reason. My standards were set high, and I went with an empty stomach, and my standards were redefined. The place is no frills. It's a stand alone kiosk in a square, the grill master is even a bit standoffish, but maybe that's because he just knows what he is pedaling is that damn good and doesn't give a damn. Skip breakfast, and score a morning coffee, but go VERY hungry, have the horse meat wurst, and order an Ottakringer Helles beer. Locals were quick to tell me Stiegl is great, but Ottakringer is better. One local even confessed he was from Salzburg originally, but admitted his preference to the Viennese Ottakringer. Either way, 3 wursts and 2 beers later, I once again found proof that Uncle Tony always has the fellow travelers best...

AVOID THIS PLACE. I was on a vacation with my friends in Vienna a couple of months ago and went to this place because it has a high rating here. It was a TERRIBLE experience. The person in charge was very rude and has zero English knowledge. It was written everywhere that the place accepts credit cards with not a single "cash only" sign. After he gave us the sandwiches and we told him that we want to pay with card, he got really mad and said "VIENNA CASH!!!". We told him that since it was not written and we saw those visa/mastercard logos and you did not tell us initially that you want cash, you do not have the right to be mad! he kept yelling until we paid with cash (we had to go to the ATM to bring some). I should have told the police but did not want to ruin my vacation. There are many better places in Vienna that you might...
