i truly loved every bit of MiSA!~* being surrounded by the precious handmade ceramics and tea ware undeniably brought the space to life, and the owners were so lovely!
initially i went for the "matcha on ice" to taste the matcha purely as usucha before having it as a latte— it was very smooth with just the right amount of grassy notes & astringency that was enjoyable but also barely there.. i was left with a hint of umami in the after taste, i found myself finishing it so quickly that the ice barely melted!
i then had the "matcha obsession”, a matcha latte with white chocolate and it was SUCH a delight! not too overwhelmingly sweet.. i highly recommend it if you're after a perfectly balanced, slightly sweetened matcha! — the flavor of the matcha itself complimented the white chocolate notes very well making it a bit creamier in consistency without being too rich.. (i had it with oat milk)
a solid 9/10.. since i personally enjoy more umami forward matcha flavor but i got myself their matcha powder in case (im sure i will) i get in the mood for it again! this spot is a gem in of itself that i consider it one of the...
Read moreThere are very few places that do tea right and do it justice. MiSa is one of those places. From the high quality teas and the way they are brewed, to the beautiful interior and hand crafted teaware, you can tell from the moment you step through the door, that everything at MiSA honours the art of tea. The owners themselves are incredibly nice, and are so happy to share their love for tea.
Their Japanese Sencha teas were delightful, so that would be my recommendation, but I wouldn't hesitate to defer to their expertise if you are there, as they know their teas very well.
(NOTE for the owners) Thank you for such a lovely time! It was one of the highlights of my trip. I've been enjoying the tea and cup I got from you every day since I returned from the trip. Looking forward to returning to your lovely...
Read moreMy girlfriend asked them to put in less ice then normally because they were using 7-10 ice cubes for a 500 ml cup. When asked, the owner replied: " No we can't do this, because the hot matcha will melt this little ice." More or Less ice doesn't matter because it's gonna melt either way. And when I stood up for my partner, the owner got offended because quote, " He has never had anyone standing up to him like this". Probably because no customer has the courage to do this. He threatened me with a ban from the house. His luck that my partner was there because he charged me and euro extra. Bad experience, would not recommend. Both workers have no level...
