On October 14, my girlfriends and I had dinner on the terrace in this restaurant. we are not local and do not know about Austrian laws. no one warned us that at 23:00 the restaurant closes the terrace and it is possible to relax only in the middle of the premises. at 11:00 p.m., a waiter came to our table and said that the terrace was closing in 5 minutes, we had to pay and leave. we didn't finish the food and drinks. while we were paying, I asked again why no one warned about this immediately when we come, or at least 30 minutes before closing. while I was speaking, he rudely interrupted me and began to say that such are the laws and in a rather aggressive manner said that we must go NOW from this place. when I asked him why he was aggressively talking to me and my friends, he started announcing again and then added "if you don't like something, go to another bar, because we don't need you here." for the first time in my life I met such a rude waiter and for the first time in my life I was kicked out of the establishment. visitors who were also "kicked out" were shocked by the situation. I work in the service industry and I know how difficult it is. he may have had a bad day, but that doesn't give him the right to talk to us so rudely and aggressively. the waiter is a man of 30+ years with black hair, dark eyes and a little fat. I am disappointed and I hope the managers of the institution will do everything possible to prevent similar situations from happening again.
As for the food, the meat was so salty that my friends couldn't eat it. also the guacamole pita has a terrible presentation. soups and cocktails...
Read moreAfter a long day of walking around it got rather late, the clock hit 11pm and we all got the munchies ( hungry ). We found this place. Open till 2am and you can order food till 1am. Just what we needed.
For all you smokers out there (me to) this is it. This is a restaurant where the non smokers are in a separate room.
As for the restaurant it self, well, a place to see no matter how you put it, checkout the decoration on the ceiling. It has a bar area, dinning on the ground floor (smoking and non...) and a downstairs dinning area (smoking). The restrooms are also located here. They are kind of new but they lack a surface sanitiser for the WC and as all restaurant they need to check them more often. (no hand towels and the floor needed cleaning). But now to the good part. The food was really yummy and the portion are good at a moderate price. I have to admit, the spareribs on one of the photos was mine. FYI, I took advantage of the offer they have of "double the ribs" for only €6.90. Ribs are mainly bones any how, and they were delicious and so were the other ones, so they said. The staff were friendly but not too talkative, they said what why had to can't say much more to that. There were 4 of us so we had plenty to talk about anyhow.
So if you're feeling hungry and you're not alone, give...
Read moreCame here after a recommendation for their lunch menus, left the place disappointed. The food was not more than average! Wiener schnitzel was mediocre with no marmalade, just a lemon on the side. The schnizel itself was okay, but was not as good as I excepted from a first district restaurant. The Burger my gf had was also quite alright but nothing more, sweet potato fries were good. The annoying part was when the check came, unexpected chargers were included, such as 0,8€ for a glass of tap water where they don't tell you it costs smth, also the bigger originally comes with potato fries/french fries we asked to change it to sweet potatoes, they both cost the same on the menu (3.1€) but they charged us 0.5€ for this change in the order?!?! Why? Outrages if you ask me (at least you can warn us in advance..) Also when asking for ketchup they bring you one lame tiny ketchup bag. The bbq sauce of the burger was not good.
Overall, disappointed from the food and the unexpected charges, the waiter was...
