Bottom line first. Scary food, horrible service, abominable bathroom. Beware.

So we landed late at Nassau. We were excited by the advertisement for this place at the airport, saying it’s right across the street from the resort for meals at a reasonable price. However, the set up directing foot traffic to the Marina created a slight detour.

When we got there, the front person said that they were stopping service for the evening. I stated that I thought they were open until 10, and she said that they stopped service at 9:30. Only after I pointed out that it was 9:31 did she reluctantly sat us down at a table.

In retrospect, we should’ve took her advice and left, because what followed was a true exercise in frustration. Although one server handed us the menu reasonably quickly and ask what we wanted to drink, it took her a while to get back to ask what we wanted for food. I ordered the coconut shrimp based on a good review, and my girl ordered one of the shrimp specials for $35 that came with some kind of chicken mixed in.

I went to the restroom to wash my hands per usual. I noted that the water was running slowly, and there was no soap. On top of that, there was only a hand dryer, which is disgusting given that the door had to be pulled open from inside the restroom. Even when I told one of the members about the soap, she didn’t seem that eager to correct the deficiency.

After cleaning my hands with my table napkin the best that I can, another 10 to 12 minutes went past, and there was no update on the food. Despite several members floating around, it was shockingly hard to wave down one to try to get an update for the food. We just wanted to ask how close the food was to being ready and even asked if the side dishes can be brought out first since we were so hungry. The woman said she would check but pointed out that we came in late. Really??

The food came out another five minutes after that encounter. I took one bite, and the shrimp was soft…extremely soft. Looking closer, the shrimp did not look like it was cooked through. My wife took a bite out of another shrimp– same thing. Although I was hungry and frustrated, I wasn’t about to poison myself by eating raw shrimp. Took another few minutes for us to flag down our original waitress (shocker), and I pointed out the fact that my dish was not acceptable to eat. When she had the audacity to say to us once more that we came in at the last minute, I said firmly, “if I knew you were gonna serve me RAW shrimp, I wouldn’t have stayed.“ She looked at me, seemingly stupefied, and asked if I wanted another dish. Although I initially asked for the menu, I decided just to share what my wife had and got the hell out of here.

If you want bad service and risk getting food poisoning, come here. For everybody else who is not insane, find another place, and definitely stay the HELL away near...

across the main drag from Marina Village/Atlantis. Can not recommend but others may. Be aware that around the happy hour-6pm-it will be quite busy. Nothing to talk about in terms of décor. We were seated pretty quickly. Our server-Minerva-seemed to be having a bad day. Overly gruff. The menu is varied-salads, Burgers, Sandwiches, pasta, etc. Plus, more substantial entrees like steak and salmon. Long list of appetizers that are a better deal during happy hour. The ribs & BBQ seems to be quite popular and quite expensive. Some of the most expensive on the menu. The prices for the menu seem out of whack. Why $24 for a fish sandwich but $40 for fish and chips? $42 for a local fish entrée? $26 for fish tacos. There are numerous other dishes for less and may be propped up by the expensive items. BBQ is used loosely here as its just cooked meat covered in sauce. No smoke. DW ordered the Baby Back half rack entrée ($38) and I chose the BBQ combo consisting of half rack, chicken tenders, and grilled chicken wings ($42). Once we ordered, we waited. And waited. And waited more. Server was less than helpful when we inquired on the meals progress. After an hour our meals finally came. This after the place emptied dramatically once happy hour was over. Ribs were tender if overcooked (boiled?) on both entrees but tasty. The sauce was above average flavor wise if a bit sweet. The grilled wings had sooo little meat on them and the sauce was a much different spice level than the ribs-quite spicy to our taste. And the tenders just typical fried pieces, but with the same sauce as the ribs. Coming with these entrees were some of the worst corn cobbettes ever served. Soggy like they had been in water for over 24 hours, losing all semblance of flavor and just spurting water when you bit into them. Disgusting. The baked potato that came with the half rack was overdone but at least edible. Slaw was also edible. For these meals, two bottled water-they don’t serve tap!-and one small soda it was $89.75!! add in the pre applied mandatory 15% percent gratuity and the VAT of 10% and the meal came to $112!! I feel strongly that there must be places in the area that will give you a much better value that Anthony’s. Really wish we had taken the time...

Anthony's Was Our JAM! The Unsung Hero of Our Atlantis Beachside Vacation! Our recent 7-night vacation at the Atlantis Beachside was absolutely fantastic, and if there's one place that became our consistent go-to, it was without a doubt Anthony's! Seriously, this restaurant was our JAM! We ended up eating there more than anywhere else on the entire resort, and for very good reason. First off, let's talk about the food – it's simply amazing! Every single dish we tried was delicious, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. From lunch to dinner, we were never disappointed. But what truly sets Anthony's apart in a resort known for its higher price points is how incredibly affordable it is. We could get a fantastic, filling meal without feeling like we were breaking the bank, which was a huge relief and allowed us to truly enjoy our dining experiences. And for seafood lovers, the fish is awesome! We had some of the freshest, most perfectly cooked fish dishes there. It quickly became a favorite of ours and we found ourselves craving it throughout our stay. Beyond the incredible food and value, the staff at Anthony's are super awesome! Every single server, host, and busser we encountered was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. They remembered our faces, anticipated our needs, and created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s clear they love what they do, and it truly enhanced our dining experience every time. Anthony's became our comfort zone, our reliable spot for a delicious and well-priced meal, and a place where we always felt incredibly well taken care of. If you're staying at Atlantis, particularly at the Beachside, do yourself a huge favor and make Anthony's a regular stop. You won't regret it! It truly was an integral part of what made our Atlantis vacation...

Staying at Atlantis, 3 of us came over to Anthonys for dinner on a Monday night. Place was about 65% full when we arrived. A lot of staff walkng around, but our waitress took more than 15 minutes to come say hi and get a drink order; we ordered dinner and drinks at that point. Drinks took 20 more minutes to arrive , dinners took over 50 minutes from ordering to arrive. Mac and cheese arrived cold ( see pic), steak and cheese sandwich was overcooked minute steak with barely any cheese, it arrived cold, roll was hard and flaky( see pic) Buffalo chicken sandwich was ok, pulled chicken with hot sauce. We declined having another steak sandwich made, but they did it anyway and it came out in 5 minutes (why the 50 minute wait originally??). They comped the mac and cheese since it was cold and barely eaten. Waitress tried to smooth everything over at the end, and was pleasant, but not a good experience, 90 minute ordeal for cold food, ignored most of the time by the wait staff until the end. Another party who arrived when we did had gotten their food and eaten it and then left before our food arrived. Would not come back.
