We read about the amazing daiquiris prior to our Nassau Cable Beach trip and had this on our list of places to try.
If youâre staying at one of the Baha Mar resorts or visiting Baha Bay, itâs super easy to get to Daquiri Shack.
From Baha Bay: Walk out the entrance/exit closest to the parking lot, youâre about 100 feet away, just look for the open shacks.
From Baha Mar: Go towards the conference center and walk toward the large parking lot, look for the Baha Bay water slides and youâll see a set of shacks about a half mile or so away (about a 10 minute walk).
When you enter, you usually see a very small amount of tourists, most customers are locals.
My partner and I were greeted by bartender Kenny and he made us two large daiquiris and he mixed flavors together. We chose mango and strawberry and both were made with fresh fruits and were served in a large 22 oz glass and he topped off both of our glasses and also provided rum floaters when we drank them down. For $12/each, it was a great value for the area and...
Read moreThe server that made our diaquiri this afternoon was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude. Itâs obvious that he only cares about serving tourists. He didnât greet us at all, didnât ask what drink we wanted. Just looked at me with a blank stare after 10 minutes to take my order⌠and still got my order wrong. He even misplaced me for another female there when he asked me if I wanted Rum in my diaquiri and when I corrected him to explain that he is confusing her for me. He got extremely rude and blamed ME for his mistake. His attitude was just horrible. The service towards Bahamians is obviously not a priority. Once the tourists entered the establishment shortly after he immediately greeted them and was very pleasant. So disappointing. They even charged us $24 for 2 small diaquiris with no rum, which is not the...
Read moreOur family checked out of the hotel but had couple of hours to kill before heading to the airport so we made the short walk from Baha Mar to the Da Daiquiri Shack. Just walk out of the resort near Cafe Madeleine and head towards the guest parking lot. Itâs a short walk and you canât miss the buildings next to the roundabout. My wife got the Miami Vice w/ Rum (of course), I got the strawberry/banana, and my son got a pina colada and daughter a Miami vice. It was delicious and super refreshing! The owner was great and all the fruit was fresh and not previously frozen.
Originally we were going to walk with our drinks but decided to hang out at the bar and finish our drinks. Highly recommend and canât wait to be back! From -...
