We picked up some pastries and sandwiches frequently at Plato's patisserie during our stay at Atlantis. Plato's offers a decent selection of patisserie and baked goods, salads, sandwiches, ice cream, and coffee.
We tried the coffee, fruit tart, lemon tart, croissant, jerk chicken sandwich, chopped salad, and reuben.
The coffee was decent, nothing special.
The fruit tart was probably one of the better items in their selection. It came topped with a large variety of fruits glazed with a sugar syrup and was tasty and refreshing. The lemon tart was okay. The croissant was stale, lumpy, and not worth the money.
The chopped salad was a fairly standard salad.
The jerk chicken sandwich was decent but didn't really taste like jerk chicken. The reuben was overly saucy in my opinion and slightly unappetizing.
Overall, Plato's has a decent selection of baked goods and deli items but fumbles in the execution. I would only be able to recommend getting coffee, a fruit tart, and some pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream that they carry in a tiny freezer. I would recommend avoiding everything else we tried, but can't speak to any of the other...
Read moreAlmost gave them a three because the bartenders at this bar weren’t nice at all. I gave a four because the patisserie side that is attached serves food and their service was great. Cicily that works there was extremely friendly and accommodated my friends special dietary needs. Cicily went out of her way to make sure that we were both satisfied. I greatly appreciate that when you’re at a nice resort and spending a lot of money being made to feel as if you’re important to them. The patisserie serves assorted pastries, sandwiches and other typical breakfast items, including different types of juices andcoffees. We had the salmon with lox on a croissant, and it was fresh and delicious. As is most of Atlantis, it is beautiful. The atmosphere is lively. The area is well kept and maintained. It is also well staffed. I like that you can get coffee for only five dollars and refill it as much as you would like. The bar side is fully stocked with every kind of alcohol that you can imagine. In the morning they only serve mimosas, bloody Mary and screwdrivers. In the afternoon it is a...
Read morePlato’s was definitely my go-to for quick bites—perfect for grab-and-go. They had a good selection for breakfast, salads, sandwiches, coffee, baked goods, fruit, milk, and juice—a typical spot for a quick snack or meal. The service was pretty hit or miss; when the “boss lady” was around, everyone was super friendly and helpful. I found myself eating here more than a few times, especially since it was one of the few places open past 10 p.m., or just quick enough before hitting the gym.
I appreciated that the sandwiches were heated, but honestly, the meats were a bit too salty for my taste. Adding mustard and mayo helped a little. I’d avoid the tuna—it was pretty terrible. The fruit was okay, though it lacked flavor. Overall, considering how overpriced the sandwiches are, it’s not a bad option for a quick bite, but don’t expect...
