The hair was good, but the makeup artist seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. I wasn't going to write a review, but I figured I should do my part in preventing another bride from going through what I did.
I love makeup so was so excited to get it professionally done, but it seemed like she had never done it on anyone else before. She put a foundation on my mom that was way too light and cakey and she looked like a ghost (I told her it looked light and she said she was going to blend it out with the beauty blender...why not just use the right shade?), and her brows were solid blocks of color, not hairlike. She also blamed my mom for not washing her face beforehand like that had something to do with the cakiness. My mom ended up stopping her and doing her makeup herself.
She got to me and I told her she could use my own foundation on me if she didn't have one that matched, so she used mine. It was just something from the drugstore. I had asked for a smoky eye, and she just put big blobs of black on both of my eyes and it was all just one color without any lighter colors or transitions, and she used darker reddish lip which contrasted the eyes really badly (even though my email where I requested what I wanted said smoky eye, natural lip). When she was doing the lashes she literally glued my eyelashes together and once she "fixed it" they weren't comfortable at all (not normal I'm-wearing-false-lashes uncomfortable). I really wanted lashes, and I didn't know if she'd be able to take them off an put them back on right, so then I had to decide if I wanted to have them and be uncomfortable all day or to go without them.
Once she finished, I didn't like the makeup all. She kept saying that I had asked for a smoky eye and that she has to do everything more drastic for the camera. I ended up literally running downstairs to the Mac store in the hotel and took off the brows, the eyes, and the lips and had someone there rush to fix it. We had to push back the ceremony because...
