I’ve just had the WORST customer experience at this place. I’ve arrived at 9 p.m on a Saturday (December,7), and there were TWO ladies behind the cashier. However, only ONE of them was willing to work, whereas the other one was more interested on her phone and on leaving work. And that’s what she has done, whereas I was there standing waiting for over 30 minutes for my order to get ready. The girl doing the order took the bread and the fries with her hand WHILE surfing on her phone and with the same hand, she open the door, dealt with money and etc 🤢. DISGUSTING. There are so many frituurs in Antwerp that it’s impossible to decide so while walking around, spotting the frituur with a long line of students was the perfect endorsement.

Can fries be perfect? Well, apparently yes. Warm, crunchy, freshly fried and creamy in the center. These fries were as close to perfection as they come.

The service is friendly and efficient. The owner does the frying and seems to know exactly the perfect timing required for the best product. I'm used to eating the real authentic belgian fries that are baked in the authentic "ossewit" (which is animal fat). Fries in animal fat taste nice but it sucks if you eat vegetarian.

HOWEVER! This place is the first place ever that I came across that made vegetarian fries taste as good as when they would have been baked in "ossewit". (They use plant based oil.) On top of it they have plenty of vegetarian options (could totally recommend the veggie burger). All this without failing the belgian...
