Benvenuto — Restaurant in Bruges

Bad and overpriced pizza.

I went to this restaurant following a friend's advice.

We had 2 pizza "burrata", at the astounding price of 17,50€ each. The pizza feels like a frozen pizza that was heated, upon which they just slammed a mozzarella.

I talked to the personnel asking why the pizza was so bad and industrial-looking and why they placed a mozzarella instead of a burrata on top of it. They said the pizza is not frozen. Well, it surely looks and feels like it. They added that the thing atop the pizza is an actual burrata, not a mozzarella. But, again, I can tell the difference between a burrata and a mozzarella, and that was a mozzarella.

The final touch was the bill: 41€ for 2 horrifying pizzas and 2 cokes. Despite the objectively abysmal quality of the food and our complaints, they didn't even offer a drink/a coffee on the house or a discount.

In conclusion, I'd rather starve than eat...

Great place for regular dinner Just a stone's throw from the Grote Markt, this is definitely recommended! Once you dine here, you will know what I mean. The staff apologize that they only had to choose a few tables. She apologizes for that it might take some extra time, despite you knowing her dinner time and it will be in the time you expect, during dinner rush hours. The staff even offers you free olives as soon as you accept these apologies, very very polite! Now, just ordered, they made sure you are completely satisfied, they bring drinks and food in fantastic condition - and in time! Always checked if you are satisfied with all the quality you received - I am very surprised (in my very positive way!) To find such a nice restaurant - in such a tourist area. For any of you that remember Faulty Towers the TV program this was an interesting dinner. The restaurant we had booked lets us down so this is how we ended up here and it was at 3.6 on the day. Every where else was busy and this place was like the Mary Celest but we needed dinner. In short food was okay but basic and service interestingly slow. One order was wrong upon arrival at table, waiter said this was no issue but moments after he entered the kitchen a blazing argument erupted and continued for some time all could be heard in restaurant. Waiter came back said all is fine will be ready in a few minutes but the row was still going on.... out came the dish but all that had been done was wrong ingredient picked out and new thrown on top Only two members of floor staff seen and one sat and ate dinner while we were in there
