Casa Patata Is a M-U-S-T eat if you go to Bruges. Fries served with a quite large choice of toppings, ranging from classic to more creative, to local choices (also ok for vegan friends). Price is also on point for the quality of the food (actually i would say quite low for how much and how well you can eat). You can choose to eat outside, walking beside or seating on the magnificent canals banks right outside of the shop, or try to seat inside, but be warned it's usually quite crowded. Can't recommend enough.

During evening walk after meeting we stopped there because of the title of the dishes. A young couple is handling a lot of customers always with a smile. The dirty frites dishes ask some work to prepare them. The dishes we taste were dirt frites chicken and dirty frites bacon cheese. Frites are fresh and of a good quality. The decoration change you from the basic always the same. For sure it has a value to visit casa patata to have frites a special way. See pictures they make you hungry.

A nice local fries restaurant. We saw it was super crowded from the outside, so we thought it would be nice to try. It's located on the iconic Rose Quay, and the terrace tables offer a nice view. We had the dirty fries (chicken and beef), and the fries were fresh and tasty. With the toppings they were well worth the price. Since it was so busy, the staff can't really pay individual attention to everyone. The table we sat on, wasn't too clean unfortunately.

As I noted the previous reviews, on contrary, my experience are slightly differ to those. First, love the fact almost all fries made without salt. If you had a nose on best places to get your chips, you will saviour the flavour 😃Belgium fries are sweet inside and crunch outside- yes no salt , though you can always add your saltiness to yourown chips at any time...unless You want to get your Fries in Mc.Donald lol I tried this last weekend whilst in Bruges 21/07/18 This version of Belgium Fries are tip top, the atmosphere are good, you will see now lots of queue ( best to eat out by the canal of course 😉) The ladies are fast at serving & on the ball, within minutes the mouth watering fries with topping are served, I tried the pickled one and it's ab delish!!! Will get fries there whenever in Bruges again. I gave 4 stars as I think it's a bit overpriced therefore not the one you will always want buy your fries for the price extra 4€ for the topping 😉 In Brussels you get huge portion of fries for 3€ and they are tastier big cut😄👍 So hope this will be a big input for the establishment, price wise also count ! We love...

Located near the canal so it is convenient. That's where the good part of this review ends because I did not get a chance to even try the food because of the nasty attitude from one staff (male).

I asked for a chicken burger. He asks if I want it alone or "with the menu". I asked him to repeat as I'm not familiar with that term. At this point, he is visibly frustrated over a simple question. I simply walked out.

I've been in Belgium for 5 days. Everyone has been incredibly warm and friendly. Many even going out of their way to help. This was a rare occurrence and is not the norm here.

Don't come here if you're not familiar with local lingo, despite it being a tourist area. You're likely be scoffed...

It's not even worth one star. Worse fries in my life. Unsalted and tasting like old grease. The guy working there took the money, sniffed his nose with his hand and then put the toppings on the "popular" dirty fries without even at least taking a napkin to clean his hands. On the menu it says hamburger menu 7.50 € after you order they show you a sign on the side or the cash register that says this is the children price and for adults is 12,50. Don't go there. I believe anywhere else in Brugge is better. Oh and the guy just went smoking and came back to continue handling food for the customers. We left after...
