Trattoria Murano — Restaurant in Bruges

Came here with our 2 year old daughter and the owner right away made her and us feel so welcome. She brought our daughter a little treat and extra bread which was very sweet. Food was superb, especially their take on bruschetta with pizza bread, mine was caprese and my husband had salmon, both delicious. We also had pasta and pizza with tiramisu for dessert, no complaints everything was delicious. The place is very small, and they don't take reservations which I actually appreciated as I think that is what keeps the food such high quality. At least 15 people were turned away during the 1 1/2 hour we ate, so we were glad we went 10 minutes before opening, and I would advise anyone to do the same if you want a table. Also, considering how high restaurant prices are in Bruges, this place felt like a pretty good deal. We really enjoyed the authentic Italian...

We ate a light lunch here on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant is light and airy and seats maybe 20 covers. The food is posted on boards around the restaurant as well as on the menu, it is traditional italian style. The waiter service was efficient and friendly, we were given time and help to choose the perfect meal, including advice on plate sizes etc. The food itself was reallly good quality Italian fare, we had a Vongole and a Salsiccia and potato bake. The Vongole was amazing, loads of good quality clams and the pasta was perfect, the sauce was just thick enough to coat the pasta and had the fresh taste of the sea. Unpolite service,food less than average. Carbonara of my partner was edible but not too flavorful,bolognese" tasteless,watery,barely any meat in it,I left it after one bite. When I expressed my opinion,woman just said "oh okay". I offered her to try the pasta herself, which she probably didn't.

Same evening we saw another man leave his dish and lady behind us expressed to us that food was less than average. If you receive advice and negative comments,please make sure you atleast apologise for it and not be rude or not caring.

Atleast what lady working did, was not charge for the dish,that is a plus point since I did not touch it and that is fair.

You might consider not going there if you are looking for authentic italian...
