If you are Syrian and want to try a restaurant, be careful of the person cutting the chicken shawarma meat. He is the same person who takes the orders, the first in line when you enter the restaurant. He is clean-shaven, has dark skin, is of medium height, has a full body, and has thin, slicked-back hair. This person is disrespectful and has a racist attitude towards Syrians. I had a very bad experience with him: he refused to respond to my order when I spoke to him, looking at me with contempt and not answering until I turned to the cashier, who finally accepted to take my order after more than twenty minutes of waiting. But after I ordered and paid, he once again refused to make the sandwich and told me to go back to the end of the line, shouting, mocking me, and behaving in an unprofessional manner. I refused because I had already waited my turn, yet he continued taking orders from people who had arrived after me. The person behind the cashier intervened for the second time in a polite manner and asked him to prepare my sandwich. After making it, he intentionally left it on the table to get cold and did not hand it to me. The cashier had to intervene for the third time to finally get him to give it to me. Of course, the sandwich arrived cold, and he deliberately cut a piece from the end of the skewer, where the fat is concentrated. Imagine a greasy, cold sandwich after forty minutes of waiting and a terrible experience, all for 9.5 euros—at the end of a long day of work and meetings. I threw the sandwich away after the first bite. Of course, I have great respect for the cashier for his professionalism and kindness. Unfortunately, this is not my first bad experience with some of our Lebanese brothers. Colonial narratives about the history of the Middle East have long exploited divisions among the region’s peoples. Conflicts are widespread, especially between Lebanon and Syria in modern times, due to the civil war, the Syrian revolution, and the refugee crisis. I can understand some of the motivations behind the racist behavior of certain individuals, but I cannot accept them—especially in a restaurant. Such behavior damages the restaurant’s reputation above all else and reflects a lack of professionalism, a superficial attitude, and unacceptable...

We were starving so we ordered: Mezze platter (fattoush, hummus, eggplant spread, haloumi, falafel), two chicken shwarmas and fries.
The service was AMAZING. So kind and friendly and just genuinely want you to enjoy the food! He brought three different sauces for the fries (OMG THE GARLIC SAUCE).
Here goes: FATTOUSH 🥗- This is my favorite salad in general, so I’m very picky. This one was SO fresh and absolutely amazing (see photos).
Hummus/Eggplant: absolutely delicious. Not much else to say here. I do wish this came with some sort of naan (maybe it does but they forgot?).
HALOUMI: IF YOU ORDER NOTHING ELSE GET THE HALOUMI. Perfectly spiced and absolutely ridiculously delicious. ❤️❤️❤️
Falafel: how do they get it so crunchy but soft? How do they perfectly spice it so it actually has flavor? This is by far THE BEST falafel I have had in my life (and I’ve been to the Middle East four times).
CHICKEN SHAWARMA: So by this point, I was too full to enjoy my chicken shawarma hot. I took it back to the hotel and kept it in the fridge until the next day. I didn’t have high hopes because they’re usually meant to be eaten fresh, otherwise the naan gets soggy. NOPE - even on day 2 this was stupid delicious!!!

Two days later, we went again. They even remembered us and took great care again!!!! This time we came with friends and ordered 5 chicken shawarmas. The waiter remembered us and brought us falafel to try! Everyone loved it.
FRESH CHICKEN SHAWARMA: Okay, so I thought it was good cold on day 2? Fresh it’s EVEN better. The naan is so crunchy yet soft and the flavor throughout the wrap is unbeatable. Every bite was to die for.
My only complaint is that I have to travel all the way to Brussels for this delicious food. GUYS PLEASE OPEN A L’EXPRESS IN THE STATES. EVEN IF ITS IN...

Few places in Brussels manage to pair such excellent food with the very rare convenience of late-night service, but L'Express truly hits the mark.
As a frequent visitor, I find myself consistently drawn by the allure of their vibrant ambiance, long past traditional dining hours. This establishment thrives after midnight and welcomes night owls with open arms.
Their meat Shawarma deserves a special mention. Expertly seasoned, and served hot off the grill, it's a late-night indulgence that is equal parts comforting and culinary delight. The succulent strips of meat, wrapped in a warm, soft pita, and layered with fresh veggies and tangy sauce, never fail to satiate those late-night cravings.
The service staff is always friendly and efficient, even in the early hours of the morning, making the experience smooth and pleasant from order to check.
In a city with limited late-night dining options, L'Express is a shining star. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves wandering the streets of Brussels after midnight with a hankering for delicious, hearty...
