I’m shocked this place has a four star rating on Google. The staff were unhelpful and seemed confused that we were disappointed to have waited approx. 45 minutes for food.

When I got my matcha iced latte it tasted sour, fizzy and spoiled as if the milk was off. They tried to tell me it’s because it’s oat milk but I drink oat milk matcha every day so it was not that.

The food itself was extremely tasteless and only saved by sundried tomatoes. I ate my toppings and tried to eat my waffle but for some reason the waffle was extremely dense and tasteless with a powdery texture. And a banana aftertaste on a savoury waffle?

When I complained my food was bad, the waiter inspected my plate and said but you ate half! He was looking at the waffle I ate 1/4 of and then spat some of it out. Of course I ate the toppings, I was waiting 45 minutes for some food?

They tried to tell me I didn’t like the taste because it was vegan. I was vegan for 5 years and I eat vegan food including waffles and breakfasts often. Seems weird for them to “acknowledge” the food is bad because it’s vegan? It was bad because it was prepared badly. There is plenty of good vegan food out there.

The waiters were extremely rude and seemed confused that we were upset about the service and refused to comp our bill significantly so we were charged about €80 for a 45 minute wait, rude waitstaff, and gross food.

I NEVER complain about cafes and their staff. I am a hospitality manager and I understand how difficult the job can be. However, if these were my staff I’d be very disappointed with how they handled the situation. There was no protocol, and they blamed us for...

I really wanted to love this place. It’s tricky to find GF waffles in Belgium but you’re better off doing a takeaway at VeganWaf which was a lot better, I ended up going later today and getting both a savoury and sweet one they were so good, saving one for the plane home! I was starving, I’d gone for a very late breakfast after checking out but very soon after starting to eat strange tasting and bland waffle, I got the worst acid reflux. I still have this around 12 hours later, in spite of taking strong antacids whilst still at this place. I couldn’t force myself to finish the waffle, in spite of my hunger and desire to try one before going home. Reading the other reviews has made me even more convinced that my waffle there was the cause of my severe acid reflux and that was not right in some way, perhaps in terms of ingredients, cooking time and/or both. Service was also inconsistent, one member of staff was friendly and the other seemed to pick and choose who to serve/when, I felt invisible initially. I left my usual tip out of politeness but felt compelled to write a review as I don’t understand the hype and wouldn’t want people with dietary requirements to spend their limited time away there getting their hopes up or feeling unwell like I do now. I would avoid here and not recommend it to people in a similar boat to me. A wasted...

At first glance, this looks like a rather charming place with a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. Unfortunately, the food nor the service met the standards. In fairness, we did eat there during rush hour, a bit after 13, and the restaurant was quite cramped upon arrival.

Servers were stressed and the poor guy who took our orders was quite stressed out and seemed rather unsure of what he was doing. After taking our orders, we waited for quite a while before we got our drinks, not to mention our food. A family that arrived and got seated after we did got their drinks before we did, which was a bit disappointing to see. The servers also seemed confused over which table one of our drinks was supposed to be served to, as they went over to another table with our drink before we had to call them over to the correct table.

The drinks were overall ok, though the "Lemon juice" was quite literally just lemon water. We got savory waffles, but the portion size was quite small, especially for the prize of ~15 euros per piece (then again, this is Brussels). The waffles were also plain bland and disappointing, though the toppings were ok. Sadly it failed to come together into a cohesive and good meal, so we left quite unsatisfied. Would sadly not recommend this...

I had saved this brunch place as I am gluten free and was excited to try it but unfortunately was disappointed. The food was great - I had an iced matcha latte and the foccacia and soup. However the male server was dismissive and was far from friendly. I had initially thought perhaps he wasn't confident in his English and was hesitant to converse with me due to this. That was until two caucasian female customers came in and he was friendly and kind to them, conversing with them easily. The female server who brought me my food was kind and friendly in contrast. As I finished my food, he just lazily asked me if I was finished and took my plate. I went up to the counter to pay, he didn't even ask me how my food was. No conversation with me whatsoever. I wonder if it is because I am a brown person. As I saw, the server was only kind to white people. I noticed the brown people across from me also had minimal customer service. Unfortunately, I will never go here due to the discomfort I faced as a person of colour. And I will definitely warn my coeliac and my friends that are people of colour about this place. It is a shame because the food was incredible. I hope the owners learn to be kind to every customer despite their skin colour and background.

They gave us the menu, and I was very excited because everything is gluten free. After reviewing the options, I decidedly for a focaccia, and entrance and gf beer. That’s when everything started to go wrong. The waitress, in a very apathetic way, told us they didn’t have any focaccia (which she forgot to mention at the beginning). They brought us the beer, but the entrance arrived 15 minutes later… I drank all my beer, the clock was ticking and there was no sign of the food… I asked the waitress… she said she was going to ask what happened… no news… after 1 hour waiting, I asked again, angry of course, and 2 min later the first waitress came to apologize because she “forgot” to send our order to the kitchen. When the food arrived, it was not good. I ordered a Foodie parody for 14 € (Basically waffle with bacon, avocado, mushrooms, fried egg, salad). The waffle was sweet (because it’s made from bananas), the avocado was extremely hard (inedible) and the “salad” was a couple of basil leaves…. Very disappointed, we arrived at 2 pm and finished our lunch at 4:30 pm. Good beer, but very Bad attitude from both waitresses. Avoid this place, there are other gluten free options…
