El Vasco *Wine *Tapas* Gifts — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

It was very unpleasant night we had in this place. I have been this place 2 times. First experience was nice, a bottle of wine with shared appetiser for 2. The lady was behaving normal. Experience 2, because of miss understanding we were late for reservation but on the phone lady said table is still free for us and we went as soon as we can. I was the one who made the reservation and when i arrived i apologised in person for the misunderstanding happened at our side and lady was not even replying. So she was mad from the beginning and all night she served us very impolitely. Then it came to payment, another problem occurred for the lady and she stated that we did not order enough and did not eat. (11ppl: 3 bottles of wine, few beers and a glass of additional wine). But even we wanted to order some food to share, we did not because of the bad service all night and plus there was no rule to eat. The summary lady was angry that we were late because she was rejecting other reservations. But she could tell me on the phone that we don’t have reservation anymore as all bars/restaurants do 15min late policy and i would totally understand. But she accepted and served poorly then she did not find enough what we ordered. So if you want to go, be sure you ll be on time and be sure you ll...

Nothing special. The lady serves tapas that she decides how to prepare, and if you ask for something different, it turns into a tragedy. She accompanies the tapas with a limited amount of bread. For example, she gave me 4 small pieces of bread and nothing more, as if I were in prison. I asked for extra napkins to clean myself, and she pointed out that there was already one on the table, saying it should be enough—even though we were a group of four.

The place is small and cramped. The high tables are very uncomfortable, and if the place gets crowded, you often end up bumping into other customers.

The lady showed extreme unpleasantness when it came to paying the bill. We asked to pay separately, each for their own share, but she insisted that it wasn’t possible and that we had to figure it out among ourselves. This was all because she was in a hurry to go smoke. My evident dissatisfaction was mocked with a dismissive comment: “Ma’am, it’s just 10 euros, calm down—it all went fine.”

In short, the service was among the rudest I’ve ever encountered in Brussels. Absolutely not...

Very nice and cosy place. The sandwich I bought is very very delicious. For sure I will go back soon :)

I went today, 3 October 14.15 tu buy again sandwiches and the lady was smoking outside on her phone. She said is closed. I asked again: are you sure is closed? Her answer: I open and I closed when I want.

Well, lady, I hope your restaurant will close, then you will have time for phone...
