Disappointing experience at Chipas restaurant
I recently had the unfortunate pleasure of dining at Chipas restaurant and I have to say it was one of the most disappointing restaurant visits I have ever had. From the moment I entered, the waiters seemed stressed and extremely unfriendly. It seemed as if they had no patience or kindness for the guests.
Paying turned into a real nightmare, even though you had to go to the cashier yourself. There was chaos and stress, and it seemed as if the staff were completely overwhelmed. Instead of ensuring a smooth process, you felt like a number that had to be processed.
Not only was the food cold, but it didn't taste very good. There was a lack of taste and quality. It was obvious that little care and attention was put into the preparation of the food.
What shocked me the most was the claim that there was no water. However, I could not understand this as I had previously visited the toilet and everything was working fine there. It seemed as if the staff were deliberately lying to deceive the guests.
All in all, my visit to Chipas restaurant was an absolutely disappointing experience. The stressed and unfriendly staff, the cold and tasteless food and the untrue statement regarding the water make this restaurant absolutely unrecommendable for any tourist. I strongly advise against visiting this...

The food is dirty cheap, but you get exactly the value for money. It all tastes bland and kind of the same even though the nice full color menu gives an impression of variability and choice. it has no refinement and nuance, I suspect ultraprocessed ingriedients, beschamel felt like from a powder, rice had a vegetaTM flavouring (why not try fresh onion or anize instead?), the fried chicken was fried very fast which leaves a distinct taste on coating. Only good for emergencies or if you are on a really...
Read moreAs a tourist we’ve never heard of this place, but after visiting I instant loved it. Admittedly, the food is not of the highest cuisine, but definitely worth the super low prices!
A full place of (tasty) food for 4.5KM ($2.5)!! For those prices we, a group of 4 adults, ordered a variation of different plates so that we all had something we would like and that there would be plenty enough. Also we got beers and couple of soda’s each and the total bill at the end was 40KM ($24)! Best money spend on food ever!
That, together with the excellent service and enough sitting space makes this a 5 star if you like good...
