Saar India Restaurant in phnom penh. New Indian restaurant in BKK. Quite casual decor, a bit closer to a cafe in my impression. The food took quite a while to be served, even though I was the only customer at lunch time. The flavor of Chicken Tikka and Lamb Hyderabadi was very bold and rich. Especially the lamb was juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. On the other hand, their signature Byriani was quite low in temperature, between room temperature and warm. Saar India has nice-ambience…we were welcomed by the friendly, polite and attentive staff. We ordered “Mughlai Chicken Biryani” and the taste was amazing, juicy and tender chicken, aromatic spices-perfectly cooked..just delicious…must try. I also love the palak paneer, best part is the paneer(cottage cheese) is prepared from milk to keep the authentic texture and consistency and not in milk powder like other restaurants do as per the staff.. I recently visited Saar Indian Restaurant and had an amazing experience. I ordered the Veg Tikka, Plain Dosa, and Veg Biryani, and I absolutely loved them! Being an Indian myself, I have a great appreciation for good food, and Saar Indian Restaurant truly impressed me. The flavors were authentic and delicious.
