A fantastic Japanese dining restaurant tucked away in the alley. They have a great selection of food and drink! The service was wonderful and quick.

The sake-steamed clam is really delicious, especially with the lovely aroma of the sake and leek. Just a little heads up, though—it can sometimes have some sand, so it's good to be aware of that. You should definitely try their fried snail and eringi with escargot butter! The aroma and taste are so rich and delightful; just a little bummer that the portion is on the smaller side. Their miso-grilled squid is quite tasty! You definitely don't want to miss their simmered snail; it's always the best! The prawn and crab stick fresh spring roll and their salmon and squid salad are quite tasty! The deep-fried river shrimp has a delightful crispy texture with just a hint of saltiness. The oysters are super fresh and absolutely a must-try on the menu! The California roll is pretty good, but I find the rice a bit on the thick side. The clam miso soup, miso ramen, and udon are absolutely delightful; the aroma of the miso in the soup is simply superb. Also, don't forget to order your shimesaba!

You definitely have to try their dessert too! You really have to try the Coca-Cola float! It's a bit of a rarity around here, and I think you'll love it. The matcha ice cream is definitely a must-try, and their gâteau chocolate with vanilla ice cream is a tad sweet for my taste.

They have an excellent variety of alcoholic drinks for their promotions, and I have to say, their gin and tonic and umeshu are simply the best!

📍 SaKaNa LaB – Japanese Seafood Dining I’ve been to three different restaurants under the “LaB” group now, and I have to say—they’ve never let me down. 🤤👌 Each branch has its own vibe, but one thing that stays the same is how consistently good the food is. From presentation to flavor, everything I’ve tried has been spot-on.

What really stands out to me is their seafood and sashimi—so fresh, so flavorful, and clearly handled with care. 🐟🍣 You can really taste the quality in every bite, which makes it a go-to spot whenever I’m craving Japanese cuisine done right.

And I can’t forget my favorite drink there: the Yuzu Honey mocktail 🍋🍯. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and sour, and it complements raw dishes so well. Personally, I think it brings out the best in sashimi and makes the whole meal feel even more refreshing. 💛

If you’re into fresh Japanese seafood and clean, consistent flavors, definitely give SaKaNa LaB a try. I’m already thinking about...

Horrible food... The quality of the food was unsatisfactory, and we were unable to consume any of the items.

The Salmon Avocado Roll did not meet the standards of sashimi grade salmon while the taste of tap water shown the fish hasn't been handled in a proper way that exhibited serious hygiene concerns. The texture of the salmon was tough and difficult to cut, indicating a lack of fat content. Additionally, the rice appeared to be hardened, resembling overnight rice, and the overall roll lacked cohesion.

Similarly, the Shimesaba failed to meet our expectations. The fish was inadequately cooked, with a noticeable contrast between the surface and the middle, which remained completely raw instead of cooked gradients. This compromised the overall taste and texture of the dish.

Furthermore, the Octopus Wasabi lacked the intended flavor profile, with a watery consistency and a noticeable absence of the distinctive...

One of the most famous authentic Japanese food in Phnom Penh. Love the design and nostalgia vibe but it has very limited spaces, and the entrance road is a bit tricky to find too. However, we love the food there and the servers are very attentive and friendly. Food is a bit pricey but worth it for those who enjoy Japanese cuisines. The services are quick too, and if you want a good seat location inside, I would recommend call them and book a place in advance but walk-in is also okay. Went there a few weeks ago and we had a great time there, just chilling and relax over the weekend. Would go there again if have the chance.
