Beware if you’re eating here without an organized tour group.
This restaurant is heavily frequented by tour guides who bring their clientele. If you’re just a regular customer, the tour groups take full priority over you.
We waited an hour for just our appetizers to come out while a full 30-top tour group was served everything from drinks to entrees. When our entrees finally arrived, they were completely different from what we ordered, and the staff attempted to convince us we had instead ordered those dishes.

Read moreI recently dined at Khmer River House Restaurant and had a really enjoyable experience. The service was quick and exceptionally attentive. We ordered several dishes including the Khmer clear soup, which was wonderfully flavored with lemongrass, and the fried mango beef, both of which were delicious.
A special mention goes to the fish Amok; although it was presented differently from the picture on the menu (not served in a banana leaf), the friendly waiter was quick to apologize for the discrepancy. Despite this, the dish was tasty and well-prepared.
Overall, a great place for authentic Khmer cuisine with commendable service....

IMO, you can find better places in the streets away from the river front area at a much cheaper price too. Most street foods are decent and delicious. That being said, I ordered the bamboo salad for US$4.50(nothing to about , better ones on the streets shops) and the sour fish soup for about US$4.50 ( it was rather blend , not enough herbs).
