Metro Hassakan — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

Well. What a disappointment it was at Metro. I went for lunch and ordered the so-called “Egg Pot.” It was supposed to be a dish with tomato sauce, pork sausage and poached eggs.

When it finally showed up 30 minutes later, I had a look and taste, yet could not see any meat.

I repeatedly told the waitress that there was no sausage in the bowl. She then looked closely and pointed her finger right into the dish, saying, there is a bit of sausage! To me it looked like a tiny piece of vegetable. I then tried it in front of the waitress and said - that is not sausage, it’s something else.

So, all in all I complained about the meal 3 times, told the manager to tell the Chef, but nothing happened. Nobody cared.

I was basically served a tomato soup with eggs. An absolute disgrace and I will certainly never eat or go there again.

I finally had to order another dish as the soup for $9 as a joke.

When I asked for the bill I was amazed to see that they charged me $3 for an ice water with lime juice and $3 for a tiny espresso.

My bill for this awful meal was over $20! I then had to go somewhere else an hour later as I still felt I had not eaten.

Never again. Totally overpriced and the food potions and how they are presented are...

This is for the airport location. I'd say the customer service was bad but really there was no service. They had one guy bartending and no servers. I felt bad for the guy because he was making drinks trying to get the bill for another customer and had zero support. It reflects poorly on the management. 18:30 peak period for dinner, many people waiting for flights and they have one guy working an entire restaurant. What a nice place if you know about it. I was introduced to this place by a local and was glad I did and had a great dining experience. They had some good specials that had food quality that was superb. Hostess and servers very friendly and at point. Service was outstanding.
