New Delhi Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

(Review updated: reduced to 1 star after the owner replies rudely) I had a bad experience with this restaurant. I came to this restaurant 2nd time traveling above 30-35 mins. The owner refused me to parcel the thali saying its not much profitable to parcel thali and they never parcel thali. This was a lie, just a day before their other manager parceled the thali for me and i came back since i liked their food taste, i have a receipt of payment which mentioned thali !! The staff behavior flipping 69 in a days time was like a huge disappointment for me. I request fellow foodies to call and make sure once before you go here whats available & whats not and what can be parcelled and what cannot, it seems like they change their policies daily.

Now this owner replies me in an outrageous tone about being obliged and what to follow and what to do, buddy your manager gave me thali combo meal parcel and it was not out of courtesy i paid in full for it, your restaurant was as usual full empty with no one in it, i HAVE A BILL/Receipt OF PURCHASE and PARCEL. Your managers should not be greedy to pack an item if you dont have it in your menu buddy or at least inform customer that its one time and cannot be repeated so i don't travel all the way to buy it! I have an automated printed receipt of payment with details of purchase, if data is in in your POS (point of sale) system it is definitely an item of sale for you. So indirectly it means they're selling items not even listed on their menu to grab every last bit of penny after even their listed functional hours !! Arrived at 11AM. Person working opened the door and told us they didn't open for an hour. Very rude and unfriendly. I said our friend was coming in 45 minutes. I asked if we could sit down in front of the restaurant until our friend arrived and the restaurant opened. He said "I told you very clear first time! Not open for 1 hour!". We left and went somewhere else. EDIT: Owner has replied to my original review. My response: The restaurant WAS OPEN during this week. This was in April 2022. Restaurant was NOT closed for renovation and the rude employee clearly told us they were open in an hour. No accountability or apology from owner....

We were looking for an Indian restaurant and we stumbled on the New Delhi Indian restaurant. The place does not look like anything special but don't get put off by the appearance. Their naan breads are delicious, we also tried the chicken and fish tikka, and the saag mutton.
