Pop Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

It was so good we ordered delivery (Nham24) from here two nights in a row!

The salame e gorgonzola pizza is incredible. One is big enough for two people to share. Crust stayed perfectly cooked. Crisp, chewy, and not soggy at all. Flavors were perfect. The salty, rich flavor of the salame and the tangy gorgonzola pair so well together. The tiramisu was really awesome as well.

It's the best authentic Italian pizza we've had in Phnom Penh and it genuinely beats several places we ate at in Rome and Firenze. This is the real deal. 5 stars well deserved.

(Suggestion for the restaurant: I would update the Google maps name from "Pop Italian Restaurant" to "Pop Cafe da Giorgio" because I had a little trouble finding it for delivery since the name is different on...

I felt like Italian food, and Google had a lot of good reviews for this restaurant. I am not quite sure why.

I ordered the crostini with smoked salmon as a starter. It was a not so cheap USD 10.00 for salmon out of the supermarket. They could at least have spruced it up, instead of that one single caper on each crostini.

Main course was penne with sausage and pecorino. Not bad but, again, overpriced for what was a very small portion and considering the penne were out of a box.

I could not say no to the Tiramisu. Again, it was good but very far from great and ridiculously expensive at USD 5.50. This is without the 10% VAT they slap on.

Service was outstanding but the restaurant was boiling.

It’s a hole in the wall, but it’s a gem. Delicious real Italian food, I had the pizza with sauce and ham, it was delicious; the crust is thick and crunchy.

GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS (such as salads) ARE AVAILABLE for those who may have a gluten intolerance.

There is homemade pasta available as well. They also offer ice cream and the best tiramisu I have ever had. The food here is authentic as the owner is Italian, and it’s high quality. There’s also a one selection of wines. The atmosphere is dimly lit for a more elegant vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back...
