Review update: Geoff had reached out to see if the restaurant could provide a better impression than the lackluster experience that we had experienced on our first visit. We took him up on his generous offer and made a return visit last night during a Flames game, and I'm glad we did. There were several food and drink specials going on, and we decided on the buzzard burger special that's available during every Flames game. The burger itself was very good, especially given the special price, and was definitely worth it. We also had a few of the cask beers they had on special, which were as tasty as last time. Our waitress gave us a rundown on what the difference is between the cask beer and the regular tap beer from other bars and restaurants, which we didn't know about and was pretty neat. Geoff came over to our table to introduce himself, which was very much appreciated. And our overall experience was a very good one, and I can definitely see myself returning regularly. Next time I'll probably ask about the beer passport, it seems like a pretty neat thing.
First time at this place, and I'm still undecided if I'd come back again. The positives being that the food special and beer for that night were quite affordable, and the beer was quite tasty. However the service was kinda lacking, and our table had 4 different waitresses throughout our visit. We waited a pretty significant length between our two rounds of beers, and for our order of fish and chips. When we received our food we were asked if we wanted vinegar, to which we said yes. 10 minutes later we realized that vinegar wasn't going to be coming. Maybe the place was significantly busier than it appeared, because our initial waitress seemed really frazzled when we had to ask for our bills. All in all, there are other places in the area with comparable atmosphere, food menu, and prices. If we ever do make a return, maybe it will be when the place...
Read morewent to Bottles Crew Bills on Halloween with a group of about 9–10 friends. Our server was wearing a pastel onesie. The very first thing she did was yell, “IDs now, everyone!” which set a pretty unwelcoming tone right away. Throughout our visit, she was short and dismissive. After every order, she would immediately drop off the bills like she expected us to leave right after. She never asked if we wanted separate or combined bills which, as people who all work in the service industry, we completely understand can help prevent dine-and-dash situations, especially on busy nights like Halloween. But the way it was handled just felt rushed and unfriendly. Because she was so inattentive, I was seated at the back and couldn’t get her attention to order anything myself. I wanted a pretzel, so I asked my friend (who was seated closer) to order one for me. Unfortunately, since the server didn’t take the time to check if anyone had allergies something every server should do I didn’t get the chance to mention that I have a severe seafood allergy. I never imagined a pretzel could cause a reaction, but it did. The server didn’t ask about allergies or even mention cross-contamination. I started to have a reaction and couldn’t find her anywhere. Another employee later explained, “Your server is supposed to ask if you have any allergies and if you’re okay with cross-contamination.” But by then, I had already eaten it. My EpiPen was in my car. I could barely breathe and ended up fainting near the stairs my friend had to call an ambulance. It’s extremely common for guests to have food allergies, and one simple question from the server could have prevented a medical emergency and a huge ambulance bill.
Do not come here if you have food allergies. They don’t take it seriously, and...
Read moreI was actually pretty disappointed when we went in the cover bands was good it was up beat and looked like a place I would like to go again I usually don't pay attention but the prices were decent too. I got a korean bbq taco and my nephew got a hamburger. The taco sauce was 90% chili oil and was very unpleasant I ate most of one taco but could not stomach the rest the server (first one) was very nice but when she took my plate away noticed most of the plate was untouched and I mentioned the taco was not good she apologized but did not offer anything else. Then after we got our second round of drinks a new server came up (other one must have gone off shift) and she did not smile (short hair and glasses) asked us for drinks once and we sat for another 20 minutes with our table not being touched at all. I really did want to like this place the first server was nice but should have offered a comp I would have said no but it would have still been nice to have it offered. Anyways I don't think I will go back I hope they get better quality control and ensure the server transition is smooth and takes care of their customers. We were about to bring a 15 person group from another pub over but we decided to just pay and got to a different place afterwards. I really did want to like this place was very...
