I recently ordered the chicken chowmein from Foodia Cuisine, but what I got instead was a culinary identity crisis in a box. Instead of the delicious Chinese noodles I was expecting, I was served spaghetti that looked like it had just escaped from an Italian restaurant. The chicken? I think they sent in the B-teamāsix tiny cubes, each about half the size of a chicken nugget, clearly too shy to make a proper appearance.
The bell peppers were a sad sight, having gone through what seemed like a traumatic defrosting. To add insult to injury, the dish was finished off with a generous squirt of ketchup. Yes, ketchup. If I wanted spaghetti with ketchup, I'd have raided my pantry at 2 AM, not ordered from a restaurant.
The presentation was so off-putting that I lost my appetite faster than you can say "refund." Speaking of which, asking for one turned into a nightmare. The staff treated me like Iād just insulted their grandmotherās secret recipe and flat-out refused. Apparently, in their universe, ketchup on spaghetti counts as Chinese cuisine.
In summary, if youāre looking for an unforgettable meal, Foodia Cuisine is memorable for all the wrong reasons. I wonāt be back, and I suggest you steer clear if you value your taste buds,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to Halifax recently from Manchester United Kingdom. We are quite fortunate to have some amazing Pakistani restaurants in Manchester, which serve really amazing food Punjabi food or north Indian food or Pakistani food is pretty much similar while there are other cuisines like south Indian and Bengali, but Punjabi cuisine is my favorite, Foodia on recommendation of a friend who complain that there wasnāt a good place in Halifax, which did good Asian food. I was pleasantly surprised When I had the food from Foodia. I have not tested such authentic Pakistani/North Indian food anywhere in Halifax. Since that first wizard, I have been always going to Foodia if I wanted to eat north Indian/Pakistani food. I would highly recommend this small establishment in Halifax who is probably the only one serving authentic food. The guy running behind this operation seems a pleasant and polite person. He always listens to good feedback and tries to improve. I wish Foodia a lot of success and future and I hope they do keep serving authentic food to people of Halifaxnow Iāve given such a good review. I think I should get 20% discount on my next order that was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbbas makes really tasty food , we didn't have the biryanis and curries but Instead had all their wraps and burgers and I must say the Anda wala burger was just fantastic. The Tikka wrap is not the traditional red boneless chicken pieces but was similar to the boti wrap , the wraps tasted a little different but the chicken was cooked to perfection , it was sooooooooo tasty and the pieces melted in the mouth. Another item that requires special mention was the pizza fries - it was good portion and was so cheesy , enjoyed every bite of it , a must order , Everything was good , the chowmein was the only thing that was sub par . But all in all everything was just great, small little place inside the food court next to Passage of India . Seating was decent , not much seating there though , a heads up for people deciding to come in a group. Keep up the good work Abbas , when in Halifax will surely come to have food at your...
