Taiwanese Beef. Its quality egg noodles in delicious broth, i ordered medium spicyness. Had Bok Choy and green onions in it and maybe other stuff i cant remember. One medium boiled egg cooked perfectly cut in half. broth was fantastic, and this is coming from a health conscious person who can usually detect low quality ingredients just by tasting. This dish blew my mind. i dont believe in hype, but eating this food made me happy. I hope they succeed in business, ill be back.
When i first walked in i was overwhelmed by the menu, i had no idea. The guy taking my order was very patient and friendly.
The menu contained sushi rice, which i know nothing about.
I thought ramen was an unhealthy poor mans garbage food, but now i know its a classy asian food that is tasty, healthy and fun to eat with chop sticks.
There was randomly a woman eating there her first time the same time as me, she ordered some other dish that started with a T, maybe Tonkatsu? or something, and she was very happy with her choice as well.
Im Glad to have discovered this place. I felt like when i ate here i travelled to japan and was a happy kid eating a delicious bowl of noodles in a kung foo panda universe.
Now go try the taiwanese beef medium spicy and you will be happy, remember to tip these hard...
Read moreWe had an overall terrific experience! I was so glad we came to check it out! My wife and I ordered the tonkatsu noodles and the shiitake noodles to go. We also grabbed an order of the pickled daikon and 2 pork buns.
Right out of the gate the pork buns were SO good! The meat in all of our dishes was very tender, delicious and memorable. The noodles were delicious and chewy and the broth was very yummy!! The vegetables had a wonderful snap- they were one of the best parts! The customer service was A+ we were served water right away while we waited for our takeout and the food was all prepared and packed very quickly :) Additionally I would say the prices were GREAT.
Some minor feedback: -we arrived right at open but I was surprised to find the restaurant a bit dirty with an opportunity to sweep + mop- floors were covered in dirt and crumbs. The bathroom also could have been cleaned before opening to guests :s -the tonkatsu broth was a little salty and left me wanting more of the sweet little corns to cut through. I also thought the pickled daikon might help cut through but they tasted more like salty soy sauce radish instead of vinegar-y and pickled. These are minor- overall our experience was excellent and we will definitely be back! Please visit if you are...
Read moreClean restaurant with minimal seating (2 four person tables, 2 two person tables, and 8 seats by the bar). The restaurant has a relatively small menu with customizable rice and noodle options. There are weekly specials as well to try. They also serve Japanese beer (Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo).
You are offered a menu and you select what you want by circling or ticking off spaces in the paper which your server picks up and hands to the kitchen to prepare. We ordered the beef noodle soup, the tonkatsu ramen, and a side of pickled daikon. The beef noodle soup broth was flavourable, the meat was soft, and the boiled egg was perfectly done. The tonkatsu ramen was flavourful and presented beautifully, the meat was not as soft, but there were more veggies. The bowl used makes it look like there isn’t as much food and I wish there were more broth and noodles for the dish.
Overall, it’s a restaurant with lots of potential and hopefully it will grow and remain as part of the...
