A bite done right!

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Summit Cafe last Saturday. We were downtown exploring the farmers market and waterfront shops when hunger struck, so we decided to give this cafe a try, considering all the incredible things we'd heard about it. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by what seemed to be the cafe owner and another staff member. Their service was not just prompt but also incredibly professional.

In a matter of minutes, our Caesar salads and club sandwiches arrived at our table, and we were both blown away by the generous portions, especially given the affordable prices. I can't stress this enough – the Caesar salad was hands down the best we've ever had, surpassing even local trattorias and Italian restaurants. It's no surprise that this place maintains its well-deserved, consistently hight rating.

The food here is nothing short of delicious, the staff is exceptional, and to top it all off, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the water while dining. It's simply amazing all around. We'll definitely be returning to The Summit Cafe for more delightful...

I wish I had known about The Summit earlier. Not only do they serve unbelievable food at affordable prices, but they’re one of the few places that have NOT raised them all for the tourist season. The location could NOT be better - you can walk in straight from Lower Water St. in the big office building with the ground level Map Store (you can’t miss it), then have your breakfast or lunch, then exit the opposite way you came in - and be RIGHT ON THE BOARDWALK.

It must also be mentioned that The Summit is the only place I’ve found so far to have a REAL Fisherman’s Platter ($12.95) - you get the fried fish, scallops, shrimp, AND clams - and they’ve got tons of other stuff too: all at rock-bottom prices.

Once you start coming here, if you’re staying in the Downtown area, you probably won’t go anywhere else for a...

My second visit to Halifax's fantastic revamped waterfront with a friend. We were so interested in all the changes, we couldn't decide where we wanted to grab a quick lunch. The Summit Cafe has been around for years, but I never thought to eat there. Not this time! What a great find! The menu included all-day breakfast, as well as soups, salads, fish a chips, etc. Starting at $6. My friend had breakfast and coffee, I had greek salad and one piece of fish. Everything was fresh made and very tasty. The staff was super friendly and made our visit the place to go for a reasonable meal on the waterfront. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!...

Enjoy this place regularly. Bun on the run, egg sandwich is made on a perfectly toasted bun, egg, cheese and bacon. Made fresh, worth the walk along the waterfront for; Almost at the wave. Walk up the stairs at the back of the building, a long the front, past the main entrance through the door directly into the restaurant. This shawarma platter was a special, this platter is wildly good. Probably the best in ns. Garlic sauce is spot on almost hot.
