From the moment I walked in, it was packed, but it was Nov 11 , and not much was open. Came back half an hour later and was worth it. When I sat down, I was presented with a menu full of unique and mouthwatering options. Everything sounded delicious, from the savory egg preparations to the artisanal breads and jams. The breakfast poutine. This inventive dish featured crispy hashbrowns and cheese curds topped with a fried egg and rich gravy. The combination of flavors and textures was incredible! The hashbrowns were perfectly crisp on the outside while still fluffy inside. The salty, gooey cheese curds and rich gravy complemented the egg beautifully. I devoured every last bite. In addition to the poutine, I also sampled some of their one-of-a-kind egg preparations. The fresh eggs were cooked expertly, with just the right amount of creaminess while still being fluffy. The side of hashbrowns was a nice accompaniment. To complete my breakfast, I enjoyed some sourdough bread with boutique jam from Salt Spring Island. The bread had a wonderfully chewy texture and tangy, sour flavor that paired nicely with the sweet, fruity jam. It was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. From the unique food to the cozy atmosphere, everything about my breakfast experience here was fantastic. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an extraordinary morning meal. The creative menu and skillful execution exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back again soon to try more of their breakfast!

Sunny’s – A Modern Diner in Kelowna 📍 235 Bernard Avenue We visited Kelowna, BC for the first time in June 2025." One sunny morning, we decided to hunt down a local breakfast spot — and give ourselves an excuse to explore the city center. After a quick 10-minute online search, Sunny’s checked all the boxes. June in Kelowna was hot but beautiful, and Sunny’s offered both indoor and patio seating. The patio was perfect for soaking up those summer vibes, with a lively, walkable street as our backdrop. Many tourists (and locals) come here for two famous dishes — “Chicks on a Raft” and “Chicken Meets Waffle” — both featured on Food Network Canada’s Big Food Bucket List. We couldn’t resist trying their signature plates. Our Take: Portions: Huge — bring your appetite! Flavors: Comfort-food heaven (though a touch oily for my taste). Vibe: Bright, friendly, and full of beach-town energy. Heads-Up: It’s popular! We waited about 10 minutes for a table — totally worth it in holiday mode. Pro Tip: Snag a patio seat for prime people-watching and that easy-breezy summer atmosphere.

Sunny's is once again another wonderful restaurant success from Rod and Audrey! With Raudz, Micro and Sunny's they have something for everyone who wants a dining experience that satisfies and delights!

In reviewing the reviews I think one should consider the source.

In Duane's case it seems his complicity in his bad experience was in waiting to google review instead of voicing his experience durng so as to allow mitigation.

I wondered if the same could be said of Jesse Koteles experience.

Craig Snider seems to be expecting American size portions, because as a 200 lb guy with a healthy appetite, I was more than satisfied.

Moe Arash should probably start his own restaurant since he seems to know more than I. He should at least understand what he reads for sure. For me the Breakfast Poutine was amazing and delivered exactly what was described.

Jim Brown seems to have missed out on the lovely and relaxed and very personable staff. Could be subjective. You get what you give. Right?

Having worked service industry I think anyone who goes in to Sunny's will have an excellent experience. The food is great and the staff is pleasant and accommodating! It seems that people who complain post experience would rather do so than actually take an opportunity for staff to address their needs during their experience.

Yay Sunny's for being an excellent choice for a 7 day/week...

If I was only rate the chefs it would be a 5 star, but unfortunately the horrible service really made for a bad experience. We had to wait ridiculous periods of time for our server as she was no where to be found. All we had left at the end was toast on our plate but we wanted peanut butter and jam. We waited a good 20 mins before she eventually came out from the back. She had food in her mouth, still chewing when she came to see if we needed anything else. She was clearly on break and eating her breakfast in the kitchen. We asked for both PB&J and she listed us the jam options - then came back with a different jam than we asked for and no PB. Our waters or coffees were not refilled the entire time we were there. We watched as other servers were helping and servicing their tables so I don't think it is all the servers across the board but just specifically ours - name was Lara/Lauren?. Now the food, on the other hand, was delicious - I would highly recommend the big dog hash! My husband ordered the chicken on a raft which was good, but mine was better! We were here on holidays and I am still thinking about this breakfast as the food was so good. I would recommend sitting on the patio as we sat inside and it was pretty hot, humid...
