On Sunday 28 January 2024 at approximately 2:30 pm. I had such a horrible experience at the Jimmy The Greek restaurant in the food court at Square One in Mississauga, ON. My mom's friend asked me to order a roasted chicken dinner platter $12.99. I went up to the lady who took my order. I asked for the Roasted Chicken Dinner. The lady said okay. The young man in the middle, prepping the meals. He asked me chicken souvlaki. I said yes. I get to the lady at the cash register to pay. I look at the price $16.37 final price. I go to my table. I open it up. It was the wrong meat. I take it back to ask for an exchange and say it was a mistake. The cashier and prep guy told me I asked for chicken. I said roasted chicken. Then tell me they cannot take it back due to the rules and policy. I said just to switch out the meat or add the chicken with the souvlaki. The cashier gave me a hard time and argued back with me. She said I would have to pay for the chicken separately. I said you have to make the customer happy. The customer is always right and never to argue with them. The cashier told me I need to learn how to order properly with an attitude. Then repeated again to my mother when she came over to speak to her. She was very rude and argumentative. They tried to blame me if it was my fault when ordering. The mistake came from the lady taking orders and did not pass the message along to tell the guy that I wanted roasted chicken. I am extremely not happy with the pour attitude and unprofessionalism I received that day. In the end I told them all its all about customer service at the end of the day. In my opinion, the cashier and prep guy should not be working in there with that kind of attitude and demeanor towards customers and argue with them when trying to find a solution to make the customer happy. I really felt embarrassed and humiliated. If you want to order, please go to another location. Avoid this one in Square...
Read moreI have been eating at this location at Square One for years! I must say, since the change of ownership, the quality has decreased.
I was there on Saturday, July 27, late afternoon and it was busy, which one would infer that due to the HIGH customer traffic, their food would be coming out fresh and HOT!
They served me a cold chicken souvlaki on a pita. Knowing this from a recent experience, which was AFTER the change of ownership, I asked the employee to warm up my pita bread and told her the last time I was served a cold meal, to which she responded with “The pita is already warm” and then continued to serve me a COLD chicken souvlaki on a pita.
What part of please warm up my PITA was confusing???? Not to mention the chicken was barely at room temperature.
What is happening at this location is that they’re preparing the food in mass and leaving it under a heat lamp. The previous owners prided themselves on their food service, hence their 30-plus years running a Greek restaurant business with distinction in Square One.
Message to the NEW OWNER:
If you esteem your REPUTATION, ensure all your meals are satisfactory. Don’t sacrifice quality to pump out your food.
Just food...
Read moreI was excited to see a Jimmy the Greek in the food court as I was craving some chicken souvlaki and greek salad! As a result, I asked if it was possible to get the chicken souvlaki meal but replace the rice with more salad. The employee was kind in replying that he'd be happy to do so. Unfortunately, my low rating is based more on the quality and portion of food. The size of my salad was really the same as if they hadn't "replaced" my rice, just "discarded it". The potatoes were also very wet/soggy almost, compared to the slightly crisp and drier potatoes I've tasted at every other one of their locations. The chicken itself was dry, and had definitely been overcooked. Lastly, (not the biggest deal for me as I love tzatziki), they just slap on the sauce onto the chicken and potatoes whereas every other location I've been to will have it nicely packed in a condiment container, so you can dip as you choose. Personally, the food still tasted decent but being a frequent customer to Jimmy the Greek, I was able to compare this location to others' standards and it just really did not match up.
