I give Brasserie Cherrier five stars knowing it's not going to impress most people. At first glance, it's just another old tavern without much glitz or garlands. But if you prefer watering holes with elbow room, chill clientele, and a barman who's seen it all and runs a tight ship, this is the place for you. Buy bottled beer. It's always ice cold and very reasonably priced compared to other places in the neighborhood. Speaking of the hood, Cherrier and St-Denis is a great corner to sit and watch the world go by.
