Food - 5/5 - My partner and I ordered an array of dishes and everything was served Fresh & hot. Good value for the large portions you get. Food was delicious and hot the spot. Service - 5/5 - Was promptly seated during the end of dinner rush. We got our food quickly. They helped us pack up the left overs and even provided plastic bags to wrap the containers so they don't leave, plus a small reusable bag to carry out multiple containers. Tea was provided. My partner, being of Chinese decent, was welcomed and asked if he spoke mandarin and the employees (maybe owner or related to owner) spoke with him. Atmosphere - 4/5 - It isn't the fanciest place nor does it have much for decor but it has the vibe of a good Chinese restaurant. Overall - 5/5 - I thoroughly enjoyed their food and service. Conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown & close to bus stops. I recommend giving them a visit if you are in Montreal and craving a good Chinese meal. With an expansive menu there should be items for all to enjoy.

My wife and I were really in the mood for some good Chinese food and since we were already in downtown Montreal, we decided to walk over to Chinatown which has in my opinion the best Chinese restaurants in Montreal. We chose a real, “Old School” restaurant named Fung Shing on Boul. Saint-Laurent which has been around since 1976. The interior reminded me of when my parents took me to Chinese restaurants as a kid. Great memories! We selected from the menu, Hunan Dumplings, Lemon Chicken, Beef with Ginger and Pineapple and Stir Fried Vegetables, and let me tell you we experienced an explosion of flavours from each of these dishes. The portions were extremely large and we could not finish all of our food. The restaurant packaged it up for us to takeout so that we could bring it home and enjoy this absolutely delicious food once again.

Authentic chinese food in Montreal. Being away from home for 2 weeks, I was missing Chinese food. So glad to find a place that cooks it like it should be rather than modified chinese food. Two of us had a whole lobster and a plate of chinese broccoli (Kailan) fried with garlic with a bowl of rice each all downed with a pot of chinese tea. Portions were generous to that's all we could manage. Food was delicious. We were stuffed at the end. Yearning of chinese food was satisfied. Price was reasonable - a total of $48 before the tip. Service was friendly. Staff were polite. The place isn't posh but for Asians, it's the taste of the food that counts. Highly recommended for authentic Cantonese food!

I go to this restaurant for 17 YEARS now with friends and family for all the events and just when we feel like it, and the food has always been AMAZING and the waiters always AWESOME, but today I had such a poor service, I was literally SHOCKED! I brought my friend to eat there for her birthday and knew she would have a good time. When we arrived, we asked a table for 3 and the host at the entrance (Tall, always wear a cap), looked annoyed RIGHT AWAY and suggested us a table next to the bathroom, a table for 2 and just added a chair, BUT the restaurant was half empty. I asked if we could have a bigger table like the one next to it or on the other side of the restaurant, knowing how much we usually order. To what he replied ''Actually I was going to close the section on the other side, you can take this one but you would have to share it with other people''. WHY?! Why would I EVER have to share my table with other people?! First arrived, first served! And that big table was not reserved... We ended up taking the table next to the door. After 10mins the people next to us left and we asked the waitress If we could change to that table because I couldn't stand the cold every time someone was opening the door. We left tips because we felt bad for the waiting staff that served us AMAZINGLY as usual, but we really hesitated. And honestly, if it ever happens again, I will complain to the owner of the restaurant, because that attitude is UNACCEPTABLE! That restaurant has always been a 5star, but today I'm giving a poor 3star because...
