We spent quite sometime looking for a restaurant in old Montreal until we found this one, and it was the best experience of the whole trip.

First time the 7 of us agreed on one opinion. The place was cozy, overlooking the old Port of Montreal, seeing all vibe and the people.

Inside the restaurant the layout was nice and flexible, where you can move tables to accommodate a larger group, and you can choose to sit facing the Port or the market on the other side.

The food: We order 6 different plates and all of them were so tasty and delicious.

The combo mix which is beef and chicken shawarma, is tender and juicy, I haven't had such tasty combination for a long time.

The grill mix had 3 skewers, all seasoned perfectly and grilled professionally where it was juicy but well cooked at the same time.

Kids had Shish Tawook and they loved it to a degree my son gave it 11 out of 10.

My father in-law who is visiting from Jerusalem, had burger, and boom, he liked it, and said it's even better than big fast-food restaurant he ever tried.

All plates were served with salad, which the least to say was awesome, delicious, tasty and if I could I would order a separate plate of salad, the dressing was well balanced and tasty. Also served with the plates, spicy potato and rice which everyone liked.

All plates went back clean empty, we ate everything to the last bite.

The service was really fast, where we were expecting around 30 minutes to get our plates ready since it's being grilled and prepared fresh, but it took around 20 minutes and eveyrone was eating. So a big thump up for that.

For a restaurant in such a tourist destination in the Old Port of Montreal, the bill was very reasonable and very offardable, so I gave more tip since I really liked the place, the food and the people.

Two things they need to work on: First, change the menu since the food looks way more delicious in reality than on the menu, hire some professional company for that and you will see how customers will make their minds up really quickly.

Second: maintain a professional website and online presence since many people nowadays decide going to a restaurant based on online reviews and marketing. You will get more traffic for sure.

They even offer a free WiFi.

I wish your business all the best and I will visit you again when I'm back in...

when we entered the place, person at the door said that everyone had to order and it was forced to order for every person.

When we were placing the orders. My husband ordered beef shawarma, he asked if it had pickles in it, the waitress said there was no pickle in it. so my husband ordered regular shawarma, we found pickles in it, called the waitress and asked her to change it. the waiter took the shawarma to change and the shawarma she brought back still had pickles in it. My husband, again said that he wants to change it, and that he did not want pickles in it. To the third, they brought a shawarma with pickles. so we got angry and got up bc my husband has allergies but she didn’t listen to us. While we were going to leave, we told the waitress that what she did was very wrong, even though we warned her 3 times. the waiter walked over to us and tried to provoke my husband and said she didn’t speak english, but when we were ordering she understood everything we said but when we got angry she tried to make her the victim and said she apologized so we shouldn’t have a problem with it. the waitress then invaded my husbands personal space and walked towards my husband and started shouting and blaming us, and acted like my husband was attacking her even tho my husband was the calmest person in the conversation and as if she wasn't the one at fault. when she was shouting at my husband i tried to get in between to her but then she started shouting me and telling me who am i to get into the conversation. she has issues with how to keep it professional it’s not about knowing english or not. she should have just apologized and leave us alone but rather than that she just made a scene when we were leaving peacefully, and ruined our day in Montrèal. the place is in very touristic place it was funny when she acted like she didn’t know english and we were the one at fault. we will not be coming again. wouldn’t recommended because of their...

This was the worst restaurant experience ! We had travelled from Toronto, with kids ranging from the age of 1 - 13, it was a hot summer day, back in August. We waited for 10 mins before a gentleman showed up at our table to grace us with his presence. Instead of showing a little courtesy, by apologizing for being late, he immediately snapped at my nephew (13 years old), sitting on the vacant table next to us (which was completely vacant besides all the other vacant tables in our section of the restaurant), rudely telling him to go back his own table with the rest of us, UNBELIEVABLE ! He then started taking our orders, with a frown on his face, as if he was serving us for free ! and while he was doing that, he was completely distracted by my son (6 years old and completely starved by now) who was fiddling with the salt and pepper shakers. He dived on to my son, snatched the shakers away from him while scolding him. When he was finally back to his real job of taking our order, he stopped even before we could finish, "I cannot take your order, I told you while you were entering the restaurant that you have to place a minimum of 10 orders, for me to serve you", he announced. (WHO SAYS THAT ??? Have you taken any formal training on Customer Service ???, UNBELIEVABLE) I saw two other families enter the restaurant, with 3-5 people max, were they placing 10 orders ???. We told him its a total of 7 orders, "you are placing 4 orders from the kids menu, I do not consider them as a real order", he said. Before my sister and I could lose it, we politely told him, its ok, we will leave your restaurant. And while I was leaving, I saw this guy, giggling away with his other colleague and speaking in French, I could totally tell they were gossiping about us. This has to be the only worst restaurant experience of my life. You guys are such RACISTS ! being Lebanese immigrants your selves, you should...

We visited Montreal Kebab in Old Montreal January 1st, and sadly, it was our worst experience in the city. While the atmosphere and interior were nice, things quickly went downhill. First, we weren’t informed until we sat down that each person had to order a dish. Since we were a group of six, that forced us to order more food than we initially planned. I ordered poutine, and two other friends did as well. However, one couple didn’t get their poutine and received a completely different dish instead. When we informed the staff, the manager—who seemed to be the owner—blamed us for ordering incorrectly instead of resolving it calmly. He even mentioned deducting the server’s salary, which felt unfair and unnecessary. To make matters worse, my friend wanted to pray since they have a prayer spot, but after the issue, they refused to let him use it, giving odd excuses. On top of that, there’s a mandatory 15% service charge, but it’s not included in the bill—you’re just expected to tip it. That felt misleading and forced. The food itself was average at best, and for what we paid, it wasn’t worth it. We spent roughly $26 per person and could have had a much better experience elsewhere. This was the only bad experience we had in Montreal, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Do NOT go to this restaurant! The food wasn’t bad, the service however, was terrible. Our server, a lady first wanted us all at the table to order individual meals-and became rude as soon as we ordered food/meals to our liking. She forced us to add an extra sandwich to our order. When she brought the food, she literally banged the potatoes and one fell out (as shown in the picture). She didn’t bring our baklava, neither did she inform us if they were out of it or they forgot. Slipshod management - they need to learn what good customer service is. I am always generous when tipping - this woman missed out on that too. I don’t want to say this but what is your hijab for when you couldn’t practice kindness towards your customers who were going to pay you for the food and the service and brought your rizq with them. I’m so disappointed all around. Edit: Yes, we ‘seat’ in restaurant and we did order. My elderly parents were with us and they generally do not eat full meals. You cannot tell people what and how much to order. I don’t even have the words to describe this level of service!
