Absolutely not worth it – save your time and money!!! I have to say, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. My friend and I arrived before the 10 PM cut-off as instructed, having already pre-paid over $250 for the five-course dining experience. Honestly, had I not already paid, I would’ve walked out. From the moment we sat down, we waited over 25 minutes just to be greeted by a server—no water, no check-in, nothing. When we finally did get water, it took almost an hour before we even received the correct menu. We were initially given the wrong one and then waited another 25 minutes for anyone to come back and realize the mistake. To make it even more baffling, the restaurant wasn’t busy—most of the tables were empty (see attached photo)—so there was no reason for the delay. When food finally arrived, they skipped both the appetizer and entrée and brought out the main course first, in what was supposed to be a five-course meal. Eventually, everything just came out all at once, which completely defeats the purpose of a curated, paced dining experience. The coordination and staffing were clearly a mess. The service team seemed unprepared and overwhelmed, despite the restaurant being relatively empty. There was a live electric violinist, which was genuinely a nice touch, but the DJ was a miss, the music didn’t flow, the transitions were off, and the overall vibe just didn’t come together. What’s most frustrating is that this dinner was heavily promoted as part of the F1 weekend. With all the hype and premium pricing, you’d expect a polished, high-end experience. Instead, it felt like the event was thrown together last minute with no real planning. If you’re going to market something as a luxury event, the execution needs to reflect that. Bottom line: this experience didn’t even live up to a $50 dinner, let alone a $250 one. Poor organization, lackluster service, and zero attention to detail. I strongly recommend avoiding this place!

Pangea Bar Restaurant in Montreal presents a mixed bag of experiences, making it a spot worth considering for a night out, albeit with some reservations. Upon entering, the vibrant atmosphere was immediately evident, and the decor set an energetic tone. The service we received was exceptional; our server was attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate our requests, which certainly elevated our experience. As for the food, it was decent but didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the lively ambiance. While the menu offered a variety of intriguing options, the flavors didn’t leave a lasting impression. Some dishes were enjoyable, but others felt a bit underwhelming and lacked the creativity and finesse that one might hope for in such a trendy establishment. It was a good meal, but it didn’t quite stand out in a city known for its culinary delights. One of the notable downsides of our visit was the music volume. While we appreciate a lively atmosphere, the music was turned up too loud, making conversation difficult and detracting from the overall dining experience. It felt more like a club than a restaurant at times, overshadowing the culinary offerings and the great service. In summary, Pangea Bar Restaurant has the potential to be a fantastic dining spot with its vibrant atmosphere and outstanding service. However, improvements in the food quality and a reconsideration of the music volume would greatly enhance the experience. If you’re in the mood for a lively night out, it’s worth a visit, but be prepared for a dining experience that might not fully meet your culinary expectations.

I first visited this gem of a restaurant with a group of friends for my birthday. From the moment we arrived we were transported to what felt like a hidden seaside oasis somewhere in the Mediteranean! Greeted in the warmest most sincere manner by the hostess! I already knew i would love this place simply by the way we were welcomed! Once we were all seated, the manager Rocco made sure to greet us with his huge, contagious smile as he enthusiastically explained that he wanted to make sure our dining experience was flawless & memorable ! And it was….. We shared a tasting menu that had a little bit of everything. Honestly, there was not one thing on the menu that we didn’t love! Each dish tasted like a little piece of Mediterranean heaven. The pairing of the flavours and textures created a fresh new twist on some classics like the fried spiced halloumi or the Tiger Shrimp with mint tzatziki ! The staff at Pangéa went above & beyond & exceeded our expectations! From the waiter Karim, to Charles the suiter, to Rocco the manager & even the Chef Christopher was such a delightful & kind human being ! Also a huge thank you to Elsie Yu, the gorgeous event producer, who made sure my birthday experience was top notch ! I give Pangéa a 10/10 ! Yes it’s a beautiful trendy place with great food. But the true reason i’ll come back is for the staff! The genuine smiles & kindness i experienced from EVERY single person here is sooo appreciated & will be remembered for a lifetime ! Thank you Sandra

My bridesmaids decided to do my bachelorette there because of the reviews. I was excited to be there and enjoy my evening there with my girls. My friends told me the first complain about the table reserved. She mived 3 times because no one of the waiters was sure where it was or apparently there was two tables for the same event. I decided to ignore that issue and still continue to stay. We all ordered the food around 8:30h40pm. Slightly late but okay and understandable because we were a big group. They start giving us drinks here and there and will take very long for one drink. I was still ok but not too happy but whatever. Some people started to be cold because AC was blasting. I really windows were open next to us so i told my friends to close them because maybe thats the reason its strong. After a little while we were still cold. So told the waiter with curl hair that speaks spanish if we can possibly just decrease a bit the intensity of AC. We ask nicely and he said he will try he's best but wasn't sure. I was it's okay you're trying at least. Some of my friends has received they're plate maybe 3- 4 persons max had one. It was already like 9:45-50pm so more than an hour and we were 20 persons. Myself the bride received no food yet which im the main person that want to have a memorable experience. I started to starve so I told our water the one with dark skin if it will be come soon the food and he said let me very in the kitchen. He said it will maybe take time because of the place has like two spots to serve and thats why is taking time. I just realized that the issue was the kitchen and not our waiter. I waited another 20-25mins and decided to leave because it was already 10:10pm with nothing in my belly. Like I wished the owner talk directly to us and apologize but none of that. It was just not happy at this point. I actually saw another guy that took our waiter outside and probably got yell by. I find that it socks this guy is putting the blame on our waiter because first of all the issue was not the waiter but the kitchen! And after kitchen the issue was the one that wrote down the reservation and didn't understand that we will be a big group and to assure they have the staff ready for that day. That place was our first stop of the evening and they ruined my whole bachelorette because after that i was no longer in a mood of continuing my night out I just wanted to go home. It's supposed to be one of the most memorable day of my life and they ruin it! They could've gave us a basket of nachos/chips pr bread! So we stay longer for our food. But nothing. I will not recommend to anyone to do bachelorette there. It was not fun at all. What a shame its such a nice looking restaurant. I out 1 star for food because i couldn't have a bit of anything.

Another details upstairs wasn't even full (Where we...

Your coordinator is missing a lot of communication and skills to make sure that any reservation are fallow as it was described from the beginning 2 months from the event we went to your restaurant to plan a birthday brunch celebration and I really like what she proposed to us we agreed and we book our celebration at your place but we had to call and left several messages with no response We wanted to make sure that everything was confirm as we never got any follow up from her we just need it a confirmation we had to do her job to make sure everything was ok Finally after couple of days we were able to talk to her not professional at all (Lea) was not the best Today we arrived to the restaurant and we were expecting what we agreed with Lea and nothing was done as we agreed everything was changed the seatings were not on second floor not on the restaurant side as it was proposed to us. And a top of that your hostess Spanish girl was very rude and unprofessional with my guest she was telling them with attitude to moved from the entrance because my guest arrived 15 min before 12 you can ask people to wait with respect but not telling clients to move with her hands as she says that we need it to wait until 12 very rude she didn’t have to react or talk rude to people specially if she your hostess very unprofessional After discussing with one of the manager that was not aware about what Lea proposed to us he was able to put us on the second floor our guest had to wait until 12:30 to enter at your restaurante. But your staff waitress and helper were very friendly and their service was excellent I hope this experience will help you to improve your customer service and that your hostess to be more careful on how she talk to your customers. Hope I will get a response...
