Why 4/5 and not 5/5? Read below:
Made an online reservation here for 7:15 p.m. on Valentines Day. I was seated at approximately 7:15.
Upon seating I immediately noticed that there was nothing special done in restuarant for valentines day. No candles...no flowers... no dim lights... no balloons... no wishing from anyone... just a small menu card for "Valentine special discount" ...this isnt the Milestones I rem at qll!. Other locations in Mississauga and Toronto decorate and make it very special for couples. I was surprised to see bright lights and such a fast food ambiance in the restuarant today... it did not feel any special!...
anyway I was like we are only here for the food. Too late to go anywhere else. If I knew I would have brought my own candle and table flower lol
In 5 minutes the server took our order of Spinach dip which arrived 5 minutes later.
Taste of Spinach dip was a little burnt/over cooked since it smelled like an oven. Something wasnt right because I've has this same dish at other Milestone locations before and for some reason Niagara Falls location never taste the same. We will not be ordering this here again...
After appetizers, we had to wait until 8:00 p.m. to get our actual entre main course (Salmon and Shrimp dinner) The main course dinner was excellent no doubt! Although they charged me $1.50 for extra gravy and $3.50 for a glass of pepsi... come on? That's not nice to do for such a big chain. And the server should have informed me about the extra gravy before she said "no problem". All I said to her was that last time I had the shrimp dinner it was a little dry and needed more cream sauce.
The desert option was very limited. Its valentines day and they had no chocolate? Really!
Once the server brought us the bill we noticed that they had a Tourism Tax under HST called "FT". I asked the sever if there was any discounts for locals/niagara residents to which she said yes.. she then removed the $7 fee and I gave her a $15 tip for her excellent service.
Some things I personally wanna recommend to the owner and manager of this location: Decorate!!! It was valentines day today and we are in 2019 now. Just go the dollar store and get some LED candle lights. How much would that cost really? Secondly: Tourist tax should not be charged to locals. Lastly: Wait times on food. For Valentine's you should have more kitchen and floor staff.
Restuarant decoration/ambiance: 0/5 Food quality: 5/5 Service:...

We didn't realize how late it had gotten and were in search of dinner, luckily a quick walk from our hotel located in the second story of Sheraton. They were kind enough to sit 7 of us 45 mins before they closed.
We enjoyed: coconut calamari 3/5 sauce was different than traditional Mayo/tartar/marinara but surprisingly good! M wings (Japanese mango bbq) 5/5 cooked perfectly! Juicy and tender and the sauce was tasty! smashed black and blue burger 3.5/5 I wished I asked for it medium rare but nonetheless it was tasty. Love blue cheese! Interesting with the peppercorn sauce (snapped a pic of everyone's dish but my own ;( haha) garlic fries, flavorful even without the appearance of fresh garlic Spice shoyu ramen bowl w short ribs 3/5 def had flavor! 7oz sirloin and 16 oz bone in rib steak comes with veggies and a quite a few potato options to choose from portobello mushroom chicken 4/5 so good! Chicken wasn't dry and mushrooms were tasty. NOW FOR THE STAR OF THE SHOW *surf n turf 7oz sirloin topped with shrimp, scallop, lobster meat, lobster butter sauce 5/5 so so good! Unanimously the best dish of the night. Steak was cooked perfectly as well as the seafood.
We enjoyed the carrot cake for dessert which was a wonderful choice! Moist and just the right level of sweet.
We had to send 2 of our steaks back as they were medium well in comparison to medium rare, leaning more to the rare side we like. We definitely felt horrible to send it back when they were closing but steak is something we can't compromise on. The staff showed no sign of frustration in which we are grateful! Nothing less of professionalism and kindness. We truly appreciate the staff for being so accommodating and apologetic when I'm sure they were wanting to close up for the night. They were able to accommodate our needs and deliver...
Read moreI was skeptical eating here at first, because it was the restaurant inside my hotel. However, their prices were comparable to the other places I had been. Wish now that I had eaten here as opposed to some of the ones I did chose. I made a reservation, so that I could sit at a window, overlooking the falls. I would recommend requesting a table at the window furthest from the Host desk, to ensure the best view.
I ordered the spinach & artichoke dip as a starter. This wasn't the salty, thick dip I was used to, however, it was better. The dip wasn't salty, but the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked and salted themselves, so it was the perfect balance. The fresh salsa was a great add, as it was more of a petite chopped tomato instead of what you think of when you hear salsa, wasn't even like a Pico. It was chef's kiss.
For my entree, I ordered the Roasted Garlic Caesar Salad. I chose not to add an additional protein, and glad I didn't. This salad was filling in itself. The Romaine lettuce was some of the freshest, crisp lettuce I've ever had. It was refreshing. The salad was very lightly tossed in a creamy dressing, just enough to add that flavoring but leaving the romaine stand out with its natural sweetness. It was also topped with shredded parmesan and asiago cheeses and expertly cooked bacon pieces, which made the salad pop with flavor. Homemade croutons rounded out the toppings. I think adding one of the extra protein options would have taken away the simple freshness of this dish.
For my drink, I chose the Strawberry Haze. It was just the sweet, fruity beverage the evened out my dinner. There was no strong alcohol taste. I saved most of it till the end of my meal and treated it as my dessert. Lol. Definitely a place to hit when your in Niagara...
