Butler's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake

We ordered onion rings off the app menu. There were three of us. I specifically asked the server if it was going to be enough for 3 to share. She asked if it was an app and if we were getting more food. I said yes. She said yes it was enough as an app. So I ordered it. We then ordered our meals at the same time. I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fried. My friend asked for a side of coleslaw with his meal.

Half an hour later all of our food came at once. I said wasn’t the onion rings suppose to come out first? She said oh sorry they all came up together.... then, my meal had white potato fries not sweet potatoes. So she had to order those for me. She also forgot the coleslaw which we had to ask for. My sons fish was horrible so he asked for a burger instead. We didn’t get the burger until we were all done eating our meals.

She never came around to ask for drink refills. Even though she was at our table all those times we still had to flag her down for refills.

The only reason I’m giving this review a 2 star is because I actually liked my wrap. I had the grilled veggie wrap. Otherwise, I won’t go back...

Had a late lunch on the beautiful outdoor patio. Omg the flowers were amazing…so romantic. The three of us decided to share. I ordered the Cobb salad. It was huge and loaded with lettuce, bacon, egg, blue cheese, asparagus, avocado, tomato and walnut vinaigrette. It was probably the best I ever had. Fresh and flavourful. Hubby ordered the Philly steak sandwich with fries. Served on a toasted garlic panini with lots of sliced beef, roasted peppers, mushrooms and onions with melted provolone cheese. The sandwich was delicious. My daughter ordered the Classic burger. 7 oz beef patty grilled perfectly. Topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles on a Kaiser with a side of bacon. Instead of fries she had onion rings. The plate was full with crispy onion rings….so good! The quantities were huge. Great service. Very clean and fun socialable setting. Saw tables near us who ordered pizza and they looked so amazing too. Can’t wait to go back and try them. Highly recommend The Butlers grill. Great selection...

Website says it's open till 11pm. Yelp says it's open till 1:30am. I just called on 10/23/24 at 9:45pm-- a Wednesday--and inquired if they still delivered (online said delivery ended at 10pm, so I figured they may say no which was no biggie since I could go get it. I'm less than 5 minutes away.) Person who picked up the phone said they don't deliver tonight. I started to say something but she cut me off and hung up on me. I called back and asked about placing a pick up order. She flat out just hung up on me. Nope. Don't go here unless whoever was working / answering the phones on 10/23/24 is reprimanded or terminated. Woof. Terrible for business. I will never go here.

Too many restaurants and hardworking business owners who deserve my business over a place who employs someone like that. Not trying to be nasty or disparaging-- facts are facts.

Wish y'all the best--get rid of that person working for you ASAP. That service / treatment over time is costing you...
