We normally go to Blue Mt. to celebrate my nieces birthday, but this year we chose NOTL and spa time. I tapped into the 5 visit deal they have for the 'locals,' where you can experience the 'hydrotherapy circuit,' and given that this is a fairly new hotel and spa, we booked our 2 hour spot and had a most enjoyable time. The staff were friendly, helpful and diligent in keeping things tidy. We started our visit with a stop in the 'lounge,' which is dimly lit, comfy chairs, couches as well as beverages and snacks to enjoy. The hostess then shared some best tips for the hydrotherapy circuit. We started in the hot pool and made our way to the 'cool' pool as it is not as shocking as one would think. We followed that up with a trip to the eucalyptus sauna, filled our lungs and then headed to the one and only 'snow' room in Canada!!! We let the snow fall on our heads, tossed a couple of snowballs, 'cause when in Canada ;) We then tried out the sensory showers which were pretty challenging but there is always a friendly staff who are available to assist with all the gadgets. Once we figured it out and our senses satisfied, we headed back to the hot tub to start all over again. We did replenish ourselves with water as suggested throughout the spa. And since we were in a celebratory mood, we decided to order a strawberry cider and some munchies. We headed to the lounge in our comfy robes and settled in to enjoy the fries(great) and bruschetta ( which I might add was disappointing given that it was 24$$$ and it came with two thin slices of baguette and lots of tomatoes and a couple of slices of prosciutto)Now this did not deter from our fun spa adventure but wanted this noted. We had laughs and were quite chillax as they say, once we completed the circuit. Only one other item I wanted to share to make staff aware is that when we went to shower (and understand it was the end of the day) there was a large accumulation of hair in the shower drain. I am just wondering as the staff were quite diligent to keep the place immaculate, whether they might give a check on the showers throughout the day to catch anything that might need cleaning. All in all, I have 2 more passes and will certainly be back to enjoy another circuit with someone special.

Not one detail missed! I booked the spa at 124Q for my solo vacation treat. What a treat it was! I got there a bit early because I just had to go downstairs from my room, in my cozy robe (waiting in my room) bathing suit and flip flops, so it was very easy to access and find. (Don’t worry if you’re not a guest at the hotel, because the spa offers these beautiful, white fluffy robes and your own flip-flops ). When the elevator door opened the aroma that filled the air pulled me immediately towards the spa doors. Once inside it was an immediate immersion into the Hydotherapy circuit. I was provided a full detailed explanation for all of the experiences, and then left to myself to enjoy. I loved the layout - lounge chairs with towels lined the hot tub area and comfy chairs were available throughout. Each space provided its own experience. I chose to start with the hot tub for 15 minutes, then a cold glass of water from the self-access water bar and then onto the cold dip. From the cold dip I tried the steam room (the scent is truly refreshing), followed by a visit into the Snow room. The two ladies there giggled when I took a snow shower - I felt like a kid. My last stop on this circuit was back to the hot tub. During the entire circuit the attendants were in and out, bustling about, ensuring towels were always stocked, glasses always tidied and with smiles & thumbs up for all of us to ensure everyone was well, as they walked by. I then visited the Quiet room for a tea and break. OMG!! You’ve got to try their chocolate cookies 🄰 Sorry, no pix because I didn’t feel comfortable taking pix inside 😊 we were all there to enjoy the space and serenity of the spa, and I wanted to show that respect. The Spa at 124Q has got to be one of the most unique experiences of my life that I will certainly repeat as many times as possible in the future. I really wish I’d Booked a manicure and pedicure following my circuits because I think I would’ve fallen asleep in the chair! I drove from Toronto and it was REALLY worth the drive! So, if you can, try not to miss this experience when visiting Niagara on the Lake. Don’t just wait for a special day or a special moment to book, you deserve this any day!!ā¤ļø

We came at a very sleepy time at Niagara on the Lake (early January) and I am so glad we did. From the moment we stepped foot into 124 on Queen, we were treated like we were their special guests, always greeted with a friendly smile and making sure our stay was going perfectly. We were given a complimentary upgrade in our hotel room to a gorgeous one bedroom suite complete with a kitchenette and beautiful sitting area. The room was very spacious and clean. Both nights we were given amuse-bouche at the bar while enjoying a cocktail. While booking our stay, my husband reserved a 3 course dinner at the hotel dining room. I can say it was one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time (the spicy shrimp was the most tender shrimp I’ve ever had and the bread complimented it perfectly). Our server was very busy that night acting as both the dining room server and the hotel bar’s bartender but she handled everything with perfection and professionalism. We also did the hydrotherapy and had a couples massage at the spa. Hydrotherapy was both invigorating and relaxing. I personally loved the snow room while the sauna was the favorite for my husband. We spent about 90 minutes doing hydrotherapy and ended with a fantastic massage. Niagara on the Lake is such an amazing area. During our 2 day stay we were able to visit multiple wineries (Trius, Peller, Wayne Gretzky’s, Stratus and Ferox) and watched the Buffalo Bills game at The Sandtrap. LET’S GO BUFFALO!! 🦬 šŸˆ I can’t wait to go back and hope we are lucky enough to stay at 124 on Queen again!!

I was very disappointed with our stay, from brunch at NOTL to the massage and quality of the room. Although the service at NOTL was mediocre our food was delicious once corrected. Two salads were given to others of our party with no dressing or toppings, they were literally a bowl of lettuce. They asked about dressing and toppings and they were all brought to them to add to their lettuce. During the main course of brunch I was two cuts into my dish before a hair was discovered. The food was redone but the experience overall at NOTL was not great. The communication from the hotel was horrible from the beginning. Our planner of this girls spa getaway had trouble getting answers or phone calls back until a firm voicemail was left, she experienced this with the spa and the hotel. We were staying offsite at the suites on King with 124 Queen and were not provided with any information on how we would be getting to the location prior to check in. Come to find out they have a shuttle service, plus parking at the offsite location which we preferred. It would’ve been nice to know this prior to arrival so we knew how and what we were doing. We were stressed out to say the least as there was minimal guidance/support from staff. Two out the 5 of us on this trip had bad massage experiences, one of us had one so bad it had to be reported to the spa desk and the manager dealt with it accordingly. These massages were not worth $180. The hydrotherapy circuit was nice, the amenities there were great. As for the room(s) we had a three bedroom suite - one with a king, living, dining, kitchen and two separate bedrooms across the hall. The shower in the queen bedroom had mold on the shower shelf and chips in the tile floor which is super dangerous for bare feet. The other separate bedrooms curtains didn’t shut all the way so we went to bed at night knowing we’d be woken up by the sun cause there’d be no way of keeping it out… also there were dead bugs all over the window sills, clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival. Just about everything other than the hydrotherapy circuit was a big disappointment here and I will...
