I recently tried the Mixed Vegetable Korma Roti from Butter Chicken Roti and unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the experience. The restaurant has a good ambiance and the service was prompt, but the food didn't live up to my expectations.

Firstly, I ordered the mild option for the curry but it turned out to be quite salty, which made it hard for me to appreciate the other flavors. Moreover, the roti that came with the dish was disappointing too. Instead of using whole wheat flour, the roti was made entirely from maida (wheat), which made it rubbery and hard to chew. Even when it was hot, it required a lot of effort to tear and swallow, which made the meal less enjoyable.

Overall, I was disappointed with the Mixed Vegetable Korma Roti from Butter Chicken Roti. While the service and ambiance were good, the taste and quality of the food did not meet my expectations. I've been to the location in Amherstburg 4-5 times now, awesome food. With that said, the times I've been there, the lack of professionalism and customer experience hasn't been good. I've used the online ordering system multiple times, with no issues. I recently just went and they told me the order never came through and told me that I should've payed online instead of in person, then it would've went through. Online it gives you the option to place an order and pay online or in store. The wait times have always been crazy here so I would've had to wait another 30mins. Along those lines, most of the times I've gone, they haven't had my order ready, and I had to wait another 15+ minutes to get my order. The first time I went, they were advertising online ordering on their front window to receive 10% off the order. Unfortunately the online ordering system wasn't available yet for the Amherstburg location (unsure as to why it is being advertised on the front window then). Since I tried online and it wasn't available, I asked if I could receive 10% in store, with the manager saying that wasn't possible. The lack of customer experience is what is upsetting, an easy solution is to try to meet the customer half way when things get messed up on behalf of the business, but that hasn't been the case. The tomato-based curry had a perfect balance of sweetness, spice, and smokiness, which complemented the tender lamb beautifully. The tikka marinade on the lamb added a slightly charred, tandoori flavor that stood out in every bite. The lamb was slow-cooked to perfection — soft and succulent without being greasy. The sauce was velvety and clung well to the meat and rice (or naan, if served with it). No graininess or oil separation, which was a plus.
