Updated review: After three years posting my initial review (below), and I still love this place. I stopped in for breakfast this A.M. and it hasn't changed a bit. Delicious breakfast that leaves you very full, and the staff are still just as friendly and welcoming as ever. It takes me through a time trip in the mid-90s when my parents would take us out to these classic breakfast spots. Guys, if I ever win the lotto, you will never have to worry about going out of business because I'd be making sure this place remains a traditional staple in Kingston. Original review: A must stop breakfast/lunch spot for anyone looking for a great downtown experience. The staff are friendly, attendant, professional, yet make you feel like you've known them for years. The atmosphere can't be matched. Get the cheese omelette and bring an appetite.

Food is pretty standard for a breakfast diner. Prices are okay, but they could be 1-2$ cheaper compared to the quality other places bring for the same price. It has a nice atmosphere with plants and dividers. 3 options for seating; inside, outside, or outside under a pergola. Service was very basic. Eggs were made too soft the first time. They remade the entire plate, which was very nice as we only asked for the eggs, although the server seemed annoyed. Otherwise, it was good. The last thing to note is that home fries are not cubed and are more like sliced/shredded home fries.

I lived in Kingston for 6 years and never tried Peter's Place in that time…what a shame!! This place has a classic, greasy-spoon breakfast if you're looking for something cheap, easy and very comfortable. We ordered, ate and paid within 45 minutes (on a holiday Monday) and loved the service and friendly vibe of the place. Mimi was such a kind and quick server; she was amazing! They're clever having cake and desserts displayed…I walked out with 2 peanut butter balls and they were scrumptious. Breakfast was also so yummy!

I attended Peter's place yesterday with my partner for a nice brunch and unfortunately it was less than subpar! We ordered the special of the day which was eggs Benny. When it was brought to the table both of our hash browns were cold. That was resolved. I ordered a small chocolate milk that I was charged $5.75 for. Which seems absolutely absurd! I guess I was charged for a large chocolate milk which should have been $5. All in all with two specials at $13 each a small chocolate milk and one coffee it cost us $39 to dine there! I followed up with the business this morning to make sure that the costs that we were charged were correct and they said they were because of inflation. I just wanted to let others know my experience. And as an FYI Peter's place is/was one of my most favorite breakfast nooks in Kingston! Sadly, was very disappointed with our last experience and I guess I'm going to have to look for a...

My food was very good, although the service and my girlfriends experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The server was very neglectful and impatient, as she only came to the table throughout our meal when I called her over. I had to remind her several times that I wanted to pay and it wasn't busy, I've worked in restaurants all my life, there were three tables in her section that had people. She even went and sat down with another table chatting. She rushed us through our orders, not letting us finish our sentences, she missed parts of our orders. When we complained about the eggs, which were sent back and came back the same.. Barely cooked, we were told it's not the end of the world and that accidence happen. This was bar far the worst service I've ever recieved in kingston. The worst part is my girlfriend and I are looking for a breakfast spot to go to regularly, I guess the...

Do not order through Uber eats

Idk why but they charge 17$ for a sandwich that has two pieces of bread, one egg and two pieces of bacon when they claim to have a breakfast deal that has bread, egg, potatoes and bacon for the same price. I only say claim because I ordered the one egg breakfast thinking I would get more food and save money but they forgot my bacon. I called and she said “we don’t have people to just deliver bacon so idk what you want me to do” worst customer service and idk how you charge someone 20$ for a meal and forget the mail contributor to that price. Also noticed they don’t even have an option to select bacon or sausage so if they are relying on order notes to make orders and they can’t even follow they ones theyve made them self that’s really lazy service I do not wanna waste my money on. 20-30$ range cause I was charged for delivery to...
