Edit - Changing my review from 3 star to 4 star after talking to the owner of the store. The gentleman called and apologized for the inconvenience caused. Also confirmed that staff has been advised to be more vigilant while taking order and supportive towards customer preferences. Hoping to see change for other customers in future.
Giving 4 star as they are supporting local community and charities by not taking any money from the pizzas sold through the booklet coupons. But pizza quality definitely needs improvement. Taste & quality can be much better than what they are serving right now.
Original Review - I bought their yearly charity coupon booklet to help the local community. I was told by the person promoting the coupon booklet that I can order 2 free large pepperoni pizzas with it, which I could see the coupon as well. And since I don't like pepperoni pizza, he told me that I can ask the store to replace pepperoni with one topping of my choice.
But when I called the store for the first time, the south Asian lady on the line simply refused to replace pepperoni with any other topping. They will gladly remove pepperoni and make you a simple cheese pizza but will charge you if you want anything else on your pizza instead of pepperoni. Didn't like that practise. Anyways, I ordered the simple cheese pizza and didn't like it much.
Second time, I paid additional to have some pineapple topping on the pizza with some chilli flakes sprinked. Yeah yeah..I know. I like pineapple on my pizza with some chilli flakes . But I also told them to make it thin crust..twice I reminded that. But when I got the pizza, it was neither thin crust nor had any chilli flakes on it. Pineapple was also kinda sour.
Well, done with the charity...
Read moreWorst Experience as a Customer I have ever had. No Exaggeration. Regino's has delicious pizza, but this latest experience was NOT acceptable.
I ordered pizza for delivery with debit and was told it would be about an hour to an hour and a half wait. Fine. It's good pizza and thought it would be worth the wait. When the pizza finally arrived, the driver said he didn't have the debit machine and that I would have to pay cash.
Problem #1: I had only debit, hence why i told them that I would be paying debit.
After making a couple of phone calls, the driver then told me that I didn't have to worry about it and that it would be covered. I said; "Free?", he said "Yes."
Problem #2: An hour later I received a phone call from Regino's saying that their driver returned to my place to collect payment but nobody was home. BS because I was home, and BS because I was told it would be free.
The person then proceeded to negotiate with me and offered me a 10% discount. I told him, since I am usually an easy going guy, I would pay 50% of the bill, even though at this point I didn't feel as though I should pay anything. He agreed, and then said the driver would be by shortly to collect payment. 40 minutes later, still no driver. I needed to leave the house for the evening, so I called them to tell them that and they said they could come by tomorrow. I told them no way am I paying for this pizza, and no way am I ever going to order from there again. I also promised them that I would spend the next day tagging every review site I could possibly find with...
Read moreDo yourself a favour, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. For the fourth time in a row they’ve messed up my order, each time no resolution because it was ordered through Uber and they don’t like to do any work.
This time, my crust was supposed to be thin, with extra pepperoni (that I PAID for). Crust came extra thick, with extra cheese so it was a greasy, disgusting mess. No extra pepperoni, which again, I paid for AND noted so it wouldn’t be missed. Boyfriends pizza was thin crust instead of mine despite selecting regular crust. Barely any mushrooms, despite the $2 up charge for extra toppings. $63 dollars for two medium pizzas and they’re both wrong. I call the store because I don’t care about a refund, I want my actual food to be correct and for the people working to learn to read and follow instructions. The person working said sorry, call Uber and they’ll refund you. I said explicitly that I wanted THE PROPER ORDER, not my money back! He wouldn’t listen, despite telling him we’ve been ordering religiously every Friday for 2 years and have had 4+ issues recently.
Uber only refunded less than half the order. So, paid for pizza I couldn’t eat, Restaurant refused to remake the pizza despite just asking for a new pizza, and I didn’t even get my money back. I will never order from this garbage establishment again. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves! Charging $20+ for a medium pizza and you won’t even remake them when they’re REGULARLY wrong.
I will make sure to tell every single person I know not to purchase anything from...
