Amore Gelato — Restaurant in Ottawa

Just had the worst experience at this Gelato shop… After standing in line with my (well-behaved) 3 kids, a group of 4 others came in and also stood in line opposite of us. When it was time for us to get served, the cashier acted like my kids and I cut the line!! He saw us there the whole time and still wanted to serve the other people before us and called us out... We were so humiliated and I was made to look like a bad mom in front of my kids even after I spoke up nicely and said that we’ve been standing in line for a few minutes before the group even came in. The cashier then served us with attitude and in a rush. I would’ve just walked out and not spend my money there if it weren’t for my little ones having their hearts set on a cold treat. Horrible experience, totally ruined...

Got myself a mixed Passion Fruit smoothie today and it really cooled me off.

Parking: Well, it's ByWard market, just find any street spot if you're lucky. 😃 Not too $$ Cash, Creditcard, Debitcard, Interac... accepted. Located in the heart of ByWard Market Friendly staff Wide variety of sugary treats available(see my images) Quick service due to store not being very busy during this pandemic. Delivery? I wish! The employee told me that they used to offer delivery via Skipthedishes but not anymore.

Really weird and racist guy... all the non white people he seems to make a comment about "where we are from" and about orgins we never lived in or are from. The one white friend we were with apparently is the only Canadian.....😒. Ironic because i know he's not born here.... he also gave me 2 scoops when I specifically asked for one. He made a weird comment about me missing their tiramasu flavour because I was in Somalia.... never been there lol. Ice cream is not cost effective for the amount but that is ig to be expected from them. I don't think he was trying to be mean but he is...
