Lots of main dish selections. Some more veggies would be nice. Most dishes were nice enough. I'd say the wings, ribs, and soups were the best. The Hot and sour soup was the most flavoured and spiciest I've tasted in years. I'd come back just for all you can eat soup and wings! Short rant here...Fresh rolls are made with a rice flour wrap, not rice paper. That needs to change or just take these off the menu. I'm all for fusion or modifying recipes if it's better or tastes good in a new way. Their wrap is soggy, and tasteless, and falls apart. This is a very easy vietnamese food item to make. The rice paper is important for texture, holding the roll together firmly and simply look more visually appealing. Also the sauce is very wrong. I could rant about that too but I won't. The current family is Chinese with some excellent cooking skills, you can taste it in the good items, but they are trying to blend their style with their perceived customer tastes. This is common and sad. They should take a leap and trust that their customers might want what they enjoy cooking and know how to do well. I'm sure I would. Ps. Our server was very good. Polite and speedy. I saw the owner or manager try to help a few people and he was awful. Typical Chinese management style. He should stay behind the counter or in...

Despite the negative reports filed by a few diners, when we had occasion to visit Regina this September (2018), we were nearby the Eastgate restaurant and decided to stop in anyway as it was lunch-time. For those who had an unpleasant stop (we are not disputing those events occurred), our visit was ENTIRELY THE OPPOSITE! We were greeted and led to our seat by a most pleasant young lady who even engaged us in conversation during our meal other than the usual "How is everything?". We thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety, meticulous preparation, splendid taste of the dishes, and the freshness/warmth of the dishes available. Our goal was to sample a wee bit of every dish but we couldn't even come close as there were so many to choose from (60 or so)! We even had to forego having any of the desserts offered. We noticed also that the restaurant was very popular as groups were filling up many tables so obviously many people recognize the quality and value that they receive here. We left satiated and happy with our discovery and will definitely return, hopefully to test their supper menu. Thank goodness we decided to believe the majority of the reviewers and not fall victim to the few "nay-sayers". Worth trying out, folks!! Full report on...
Read moreI was on transit in Regina with my husband a week prior to coming back to the same place to eat as I thought I enjoyed their Chinese food last time I was there. And when we came back I asked my husband to take me to the same buffet and the service I got from the tiny little lady was gross. I called her and she just stood a distance from me I don’t know if she wanted me to yell at her that I wanted coffee, after my husband called her that’s when she came and told her what I wanted, she went and after sometime when I was about to give up she brought it. Then she left, and when I called her pointing at a bowl of empty sugar that was empty, asking for sugar, she told me to go and get it myself pointing at the tables where there were people eating, and when I stood up to go there, she said to me, bring the bowl I’ll go and get it, I was really confused by her manners and behaviour towards me, then she took the bowl and went to the kitchen to get the sugar. We stood up with my husband, went to pay and left the Buffet . That was the last time I’ll ever go to that Buffet. No wonder I was there for the second time but have never seen any people of colour there. We are treated...
