I usually enjoy picking up orders from Famoso Italian Pizzeria and never had any issues until today. As an Uber delivery driver, I always bring my insulated bag. This time, the order was an extra-large pizza, and I only had my medium bag with me inside, but I also keep a large pizza bag in my car. Once I reached my car, I bagged it right away to keep it secure.
The staff member who gave me the order (a blonde Filipina waitress) made a complaint about me not having the bigger bag, but she didn’t ask or clarify beforehand. If the store requires larger bags for certain orders, I believe it would be more professional to inform drivers first or even refuse the pickup before handing it over—rather than making quick assumptions and giving negative feedback that affects drivers unfairly.
I’ve always respected this store and its staff, but today’s experience felt inconsiderate and disappointing. Clear communication goes a long way.
On top of that, I had to wait around 18 minutes because one of the cooks forgot to add the special toppings, which delayed the order. What made it worse was that I wasn’t even offered a simple apology for the wait.
I’ve always respected this store and its staff, but today’s experience felt inconsiderate and disappointing. Clear communication and basic courtesy go a long way.
Update: I appreciate that the team at Famoso Italian Pizzeria reached out and acknowledged the issue. Thank you for taking the time to address the inconvenience and for your apology. Mistakes can happen, but the way a business handles them matters, and I’m glad you took action to make it right.

Read moreOk... This is NOT the Famoso we're used to. The one in Victoria is always money. To the server: don't apologize for bad food. You just carry it out. To the kitchen staff: yall need jesus! Soup was rancid. Waterlogged noodles, which meant it was probably days old. The chicken was either past its time or just fully bad. You shouldnt serve that. Plus, it tasted like a dirty dish rag...why is that? My pizza, though quite tasty, was burned around the edges. Not charred nicely, like normal famoso fashion, but burned. Also, I truly.have my doubts that it was actually a hand tossed crust. It was thick and puffy, like a frozen crust might be... but, the.middle tasted alright. I'm starting to see a trend in Regina restaurants... and it's not.good. you can't hide poor quality food from your customers. I'd bet my paycheck that this restaurant isn't owned by an Italian family... they'd sooner die than put out poor quality like that. Time to step your game...
Read moreFamoso Pizzeria in Regina is a great place to enjoy Italian Style pizza. And the new East location is no exception. The new location hosts a very modern style, comfortable atmosphere with rustic brick walls and the famous famoso oven. My favourite part of the atmosphere is that the kitchen is out in the dining area and you can watch the pizzaiolos toss the pizza dough around.
Beyond the great atmosphere is the great food. The place showcases imported Italian ingresidents, including olive oils and tomatoes. They do make a difference, the food always tastes very fresh and delicious.
I had recently been in the East location and had somewhat of a negative experience. But the GM at this location handled our issues kindly and courteously and we were very greatful. No matter where you eat, a guest is bound to have a negative experience now and then and we were very appreciative that the GM at this location took the time to...
