Husky House Restaurant — Restaurant in Regina

Very rude night staff. Work Nights as well but this night I had off thought I'd do laundry and shower but couldn't until I had clean clothes so after I washed and dried them all the staff says "Hurry up I have 3 others that need to do laundry "and so I did just as fast as I could. Then as I go to shower he is already kicking me out of the store but I didn't shower or get a chance too so I just let my husband shower and as he is showering while I'm waiting in the cold front of the store doors he comes up to me and tells me to grab my husband and " Tell him to hurry up in shower otherwise I call the police on you guys" I was shocked at how rude he was when we were only there doing laundry not doing anything we shouldn't be following the rules of this store but I think it was because I am Native and my husband is white. He totally changed his attitude towards my husband but not me. I' VE BEEN GOING TO THIS HUSKY FOR YEARS AND NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANYONE SO RUDE FOR NO REASON AT ALL. Mind you this person is of color as well as I am but the White guy who works nights there has been Nothing but Nice to us everytime we go there this other guy was just negative towards me for nothing. I would give this place 5 stars but for one very bad experience my last time going there I'll rate it 5 only if they consider someone else for that dudes job because he clearly doesn't know how to talk or deal with Costumers of Color. Didn't even allow inside the store to wait for my husband to finish showering I had to wait in the cold. Yeah very nice considering it was hella cold...

Food was good however service was terrible. We received our breakfast with uncooked green onions tossed on top of our pan fried potatoes. I like onions but uncooked not so much. My husband on the other hand despises onions. He told the waitress oh I didn't know there was going to be onions. She said there uncooked there small you can just pick them out. I said he really hates onions she said well you should have told me. I said how were we supposed to know you put raw green onions on your pan fries. Her answer was every restaurant does this. I had to come right and say you can't get him some more.

Then the argument started. Her response was well I could but it's going to take a long time there cooked from raw. It doesn't take an einstein to know those potatoes have been cooked and are just being grilled. I said So you won't get us more. No she responded I can but you will have to wait and everything else will be cold.

Well these "raw" potatoes were cooked and on the table by the time my husband removed the onion filled potatoes...

I have ate at the Husky several times over the years. As a Trucker, I appreciate a good, hot breakfast before a long day. The food has always been adequate and I couldn't complain but today, the breakfast was top notch. Not sure if it's a new cook but everything was fresh and tasty. My wife had the eggs benedict and said it was one best she ever had and the hashbrowns were crispy and buttery. Top notch, attentive server. And even offered to remake my eggs if they were not runny enough. Highly recommend this breakfast if you...
