I don't write reviews for anything but this place seriously deserved it. This was my first time experiencing ZamZam's and my palate will forever be changed. If you are staying at a Hotel on the East side of Regina this is a must visit. Hands down some of the best food I have ever eaten. I went not knowing what anything was and I attempted to order but the friendly kind hearted staff wouldn't quit feeding me samples and explaining things to me. I had the large Middle Eastern plater with tandoori chicken and lamb with a side of lentil soup and a side falafel. All the ingredients were fresh and the dishes are prepared in house from scratch. They even through in a free side of Granny's special after I enjoyed it as one of the samples they gave me. It tastes fresh and clean and its the type of food you can reheat later and it will still hold up well. In my mind this is what a nice home cooked meal by grandparents would taste like in the Middle East. I didn't know what anything was and I am so glad I decided to try it. I could eat this for a meal once a day for the rest of my life and die a happy man. I am only in Regina for 1 night and I just ate ZamZam's for supper but I can say confidently I am going to ZamZam Wraps for...
Read moreMy brother who did a road trip a few days ago from Winnipeg to Calgary recommended me this place. I tried it now when I am myself on a road trip from Winnipeg to Vancouver. I have eaten at many middle eastern restaurants when I lived in Dubai for 5 years. I can easily say ZamZam Wraps was perfectly similar to food from top class restaurants in Dubai.
Somebody who wants to eat the best platter and lentil soup must try this if he ever visits Regina. I was not expecting alot from a middle eastern restaurant in a small city like Regina but honestly I was proven wrong today from the taste of food of ZamZam Wraps. The platter was delicious from roasted beef/lamb to Shawarma Chicken to Hummus and Salad.
On top of that the delivery was on time and I was given a complimentary lentil soup which was itself very tasty and very similar to authentic middle eastern restuarants found in Dubai.
All in all I would give a 5 star rating to this restaurant as it brought back alot of my memories from the time I spent in Dubai.
I would wish you guys best of luck and pray that the pandemic does not cause alot of disruption and difficult time for you guys so whenever we visit regina next time we can have this...
Read moreI have been coming almost weekly to ZamZams since it first opened. At the start the place was an absolute gem. The food was flavourful, the prices modest, the service quick and the staff extremely personable. I brought all my friends and family here and they too became regular customers, telling their friends and family. Year after year it has got worse in every area to the point where I've stopped going and so does everyone I know. The food is bland, expensive for what you get (the platter is just a 25 dollar bowl of rice with hardly any meat) service is slow and the new staff clearly don't care about their work or the customer. I've been the only person in and there are five employees working and still it takes forever to make my meal. I wrote this entire review while waiting in line and I've now waited 20 minutes to get a platter made-- last time I'm ever coming here. Too bad.
update: i came back here october 2024 and it's even worse now. the wraps are smaller and they face them in the wrong direction when placing ingredients so they don't have to put as much in them. the place is noticeably dirtier and my shoes are sticking to the floor everywhere i walk. ...
